OK, this was fantastic! I always like when people bring their spouses on and it's interesting to get the male perspective but they generally don't add a whole lot to the conversation. Just a "yeah I like it or no I don't". Your husband did a great job of really describing a mood or scenario for each fragrance and I loved it. And the fact that he wears these types of scents brought an interesting perspective as well. And the fact that you're beautiful together doesn't hurt either. :)

I have also come out of my shell with scents after realizing that I actually prefer unisex and slightly more masculine-leaning scents because I am IN LOVE with cedar notes and I tend to see that note more in unisex or masc scents, though the first one that really clued me in is Light Blue (my all-time favorite), which has a more feminine reputation. I sought the addictive note in Light Blue for years before realizing it was cedar, and now it's all I want in my nose! I wish marketing wasn't so polarizing for scents - just tell us what it is, the vibe, the notes, and let us decide without some gendered association that will drive people away out of worry that it won't be socially acceptable to enjoy a scent that wasn't "made" for their gender.

I’ve also noticed that I love cedar wood and the cooling effects it provides. It’s there ever so slightly in 7 Virtues Santal Vanille, and the slight cooling effect on a hot summer’s day with wafts of vanilla, coconut and sandalwood floating around me is absolutely refreshing and addictive to me. Have you had a chance to dry Byredo Super Cedar? I’m quite interested in it

Fragrance only has "age" in relation to each generation. Florals smell "old lady" bc a lot of our grandmothers wore those scents. My grandkids will be like "gross, it smells like grandma" when they get a wiff of marshmallow 😂

I’m trying to find my signature scent without breaking the bank so I really enjoyed your Dossier review. I’m a mom of 4 so spending money on myself is very difficult for me. I grew up wearing light blue and this is really aging me but I also would wear DKNY Cashmere, or Halston and Fendi. Now as I’m getting older and my kids are in their teens I want to find something for me. I’m more like your hubby I like sweet scents but I also like sexy smoky scents. So Black Opium or Flowerbomb and Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt are on my top list.

Ohh this video touch my heart! Before me and my partner met, he would just go to and by the first designer perfum label for men. Adorable couple. People forget that what are currently male marketed perfumes like JPG Le Male and other ones have notes that were considered to be traditionally used in female perfumes decades ago. I am determined to own more women marketed or unisex perfumes. I try some but so far I only own Princess by Killian. You should have him smell this one in the old formulation in the round bottle. He may like it. My next purchase will be Frederic Malle Carnal Flower. I wonder if he would like that one as well. It’s so boring to listen to marketing so I appreciate his perspective. Please make your husband smell BDK-Vanille leather, personally i think it’s a vanilla with a very vintage vibe, i’m curios what he’d say about that after he said that Chanel n5 is not outdated 😂 i think Vanille Leather is a beautiful take on a vintage style vanilla. Also if you like montale’s intense café, i suggest you to try Grape pearls from The house of oud. They are very similar vibes, but i think Grape pearls is so much better and so much more refined! Ghough the price tag is refined as well 😂
