When the Sons of Thunder asked to be on his right and left and Jesus got visibly upset and said "You don't understand what you're asking." What immediately came to mind was Jesus on Golgotha with thieves on his right and his left. I don't know if that's what they meant or not, but it's what hit me.

The Olive Press was the most impactful scene for me because it is a prelude to the Garden of Gethsemane. This has been such a deep season! Erika...you cannot forget the tissues.

Someone in the live stream mentioned that Gaius hadn't ever smiled before. I noticed that too. Dallas said he did smile in season one, but it was more of a sarcastic smile. He also said they purposely made Gaius rather stern. The contrast in this episode is amazing!!

My favorite part was when Thomas ran to hug Jesus, it was so touching to see that they were able to actually do stuff like that when Christ was on earth
@danielaegs93734 ай бұрын
The way Gaius hugged Jesus was literally how i saw a father hugged his son, and is how Jesus has been hugging too, so i saw it as God sending Gaius to comfort him. Without Gaius knowing of course, in his mind he was only going to thanked Jesus.

The conversation with Matthew, Peter and Gaius, as well as the one with Gaius asking Jesus to heal his son, are two of my favorite scenes. Fun fact: Kirk B. R. Woller (Gaius) has been in each of Dallas Jenkins films since Dallas began as a young film maker at age 25.

So good. The storyline of Gaius as the centurion with a sick servant is beautiful. This season is full of pain and suffering, but all things come together for the good of God’s people. This is one of those episodes that succeeded in making me cry because of the reminder of my unworthiness, and yet how Jesus loves me and empowers my faith.

Not mentioned but my favorite thing they showed was when Gaius entered his home he blew out the candles to his alter to the pagan Gods. He now serves the one true God and no longer prays to man and manmade gods.

Gaius did regester that Jesus was at that moment deeply upset. Jesus then smiles at a greatful Gaius and it melts his heart.

My view of the final scene, 🎬 was Jesus in the outskirts of the city, but when he sees Zebedee & the women, He is not in their presence, He is seeing the future of His torture. Then when Gaius shows up, he is not there with Jesus either. Jesus is experiencing Gaius’ passion & faith toward Him. And that is what makes Jesus’ crucifixion and sacrifice worth it. 😢❤

My theory is, Jesus letting Ramah go to heaven has something to do with Ramah's father not believing in Jesus from the start. Probably, had her father believed in Jesus, probably God plans the other way, probably. Plus, I suppose, Ramah's death is the start of Thomas's arc of doubts, which will end when he touched Jesus's scar from crucifixion.

I want you to know that I have really enjoyed your Chosen reviews. It’s interesting to hear what others are picking up on. I do have to say, your reaction and discussion to that scene in E3 was so genuine and open, and also the look on your faces at the moment it happened was priceless. Season 6 is going to wreak us all. The whole season is supposed to cover only one day, with the crucifixion taking two episodes. Seeing what Jesus goes through will be bad enough, but now that we feel like we have gotten to know disciples, to see John at the foot of the cross or Peter when Jesus turns and looks at him after he denies Him is really going to be painful. Need to start stocking up on the tissues now.

I love that Gaius literally befounded Jesus, like - best part "you... call him lord?" idk if Gaius is in the bible, but - maybe the first one to call him at? the others call him master, at least on screen

This story not only teaches of where faith is found but also teaches that God puts people in authority, he is in control. Jesus in this episodes with his wrestles with his disciples because of their understanding. They haven't seeked God's will instead they seek the highest seats. That very disappointing how he has shown his disciples how he seeks God's wisdom in prayer and they don't do the same, which leads them to their own understanding of his words and teachings. Which is why Jesus tells them he doesn't come to be served but to serve. He does his fathers will tending to his creation which is each and everyone of you. I love you guys as my brother and sister and you guys have good hearts. So God bless you guys.

God was not limited by Paul's lack of faith. When God decides He will overcome someone's resistance to Him, He will, He does. If He didn't, if He really was limited by our lack of faith, none of us would be saved.

Jesus was so sad and distressed from the lack of faith and understanding from His own disciples. Not to mention, the pure hatred and jealousy from the religious leaders of His own people, that would soon cause His horrific death. Put yourself in His shoes. Who wouldn’t be like “I can’t do this anymore. I can’t. Why should I? They don’t deserve it.” But then Gaius, a Gentile but of so much faith, reminded Him why He would have to do what He did ❤🙏

I love the way that Jesus greeted Gaius with his title, not just with his name. As horrible as what happened to Raimah was, it is what caused Quintus to be stripped of his office and for Gaius to be elevated in his place. As a result, the most powerful Roman officer in the town is able to bury all the grievances being raised against Jesus so they go no further. He personally assures Matthew and Peter that Jesus and his followers would be safe under his charge so long as they limit their activities to outside the city. While he had only just confessed his faith in Christ to Matthew and Peter, he had come to the decision to believe, likely before Quintus gave the order he refused to carry out. Jesus wasn't just being respectful by acknowledging Gaius's title. It was like he was openly acknowledging the position that The Father had raised him to. At least, that's how the scene struck me.

Atticus never liked Quintus...go back and listen to episode three...he smiled when he said, YOU WANT QUINTUS TO TAKE THE FALL FOR ANOTHER RIOT...and Gaius said, and if I do what will you do...ATTICUS replied. ROME DOES NOT PUNISH AMIBITION...Atticus thinks Gaius set Quintus up for power...and he liked that. Especially since Atticus hated Quintus...so he rewarded Gaius not realizing the real reason why Gaius did when he did.

I think Jesus gets frustrated because they are all, including James' & John's mother, are still thinking of Him creating an earthly kingdom. That He'll eventually overthrow Rome & He's chosen THEM to be His insiders when that happens. I mean, they really didn't understand it fully until after the resurrection & Pentacost! They were scared after the crucifixion & thought it was all over. Those 2 guys the resurrected Christ walked on the road with & ate with were sad because they thought Jesus was their earthly savior & He wasn't. As soon as they realized it was Him, He disappeared from them. It wasn't until AFTER the resurrection that they really understood.

Great reaction but Jesus is not limited by anything. He lets Kafni rant and rave because He never forced Himself on anyone. He said to Kafni actually that He asks little of those who do not follow Him. He never forces anyone’s belief. If you turn on the subtitles you’ll see how sad He is by the prayers in the Olive Garden. See you Sunday!!
