It great seeing the architecture and it did remind me of San Fransisco. Then I remembered doing a tour and the guide saying San Fran was Spanish hence the architecture style which we loved.

Barcelona is beautiful! How did you get along with the Spanish-speaking people? Really interested in this because I am a retired Spanish teacher. I never got the chance to go to Spain. I did take my students to Mexico three times during my teaching career. The building that Thomas asked PJ about was fantastic. It's always interesting to go to another country and check out the architecture there.

Moreover, I visited my aunt who was involved with the Olympics and I volunteered to assist in the medical department. Furthermore, I lost my aunt in 2004 when the train bombings occurred in station Atocha in Madrid, since then I have not returned to Barcelona although it's a beautiful city. On the other hand, the building that you guys admired & PJ studied in school is Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera or "The stone quarry", a reference to its unconventional rough-hewn appearance, is a modernist building in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was the last private residence designed by architect Antoni Gaudí and was built between 1906 and 1912. Wishing you a safe but awesome trip... Abrazos

The Hotel Pulitzer is one of my favorite hotels I stayed in Killian Van Rennselaer trading room, who was the First Patroon of Rennselaetwyck, which is the vast parcel of land in upstate New York that includes Albany, NY where I am from!
