Hushpower .410, tss and wigeon

Morning flight on the foreshore using hushpower .410 using 14grams 8/9’s tss, the birds didn’t decoy but had some lovely passing packs also managed my first triple using the tss, ‪@civicb16vti‬ #wildfowlinguk #hushpower

TSS is the shit! 410’s turn into 20 gauge and 20 gauge to 12! At TSS price point, $10 a bird! Bout the same price if not cheaper than a whole frozen/processed chicken at the supermarket… without the experience of the outdoors! I’m in!!!

Great shooting I’m going to have to find TSS for my 28 bore! Congratulations on your triple! I once did 6 dead in the air at same time on pigeons, it was witnessed! Years ago with a Winchester Model 12

I did 5 duck with 1 barrel flying, second barrel had 2 more 7 ducks with two barrels. It was witnessed by the Duke of Marlborough gamekeeper.

Unbelievable. Look at the lead on the crossing birds. Going away ducks killed cleanly. Never heard of tss. I certainly have now!

What range do you think is number 9 steel most effective and what wad type please.

This stuff is very different to standard steel, but Iv killed teal at 55 yards and they look like they hit a brick wall, but I think the most effective range is 40-45yards and closer and you start turning things into mince meat, You have to use TPS wads there in very sort supply at the moment as they come from the USA

@@themuddyfowler4945 I don’t load anymore I used to load thousands for Pigeons when I was younger. If you don’t mind me asking how did you come up with number nine shot? What type of steel is it? If you don’t mind me asking only I’m an engineer retired now. I’m technically it’s interesting. Best regards, Michael

So it’s known as tss (tungsten super steel) it’s heavily than lead so a number 9 shot still has 2.5 inches of penetration at 75 yards, a 410 with 14 grams of 9’s will out shoot a 12b with 35 grams of standard steel!

Yes recommended for all steel, yet as you can use such small shoot size with tss, you can get away with shooting it through tighter chokes this video I’m using full choke, the wads used are twice as thick as a standard wad! Tss is so hard that you can shoot it at a solid steel plate and collect the pellets back up and reload them as they don’t deform on impact!

No 14 grams 9’s and 16 grains of lilgun, but you need the right wad TPS can’t use a standard wad, also you should be able to get data from the suppler of the tss

Tss is great but 10 to 15 dollars a shot.

Not in the uk, home loads as well and 410 so no where near that expensive
