Had to watch this video again. Today is the day our Sherpie passed and it was wonderful to see these 2 boys together one last time. So glad that they got to be together one last time before his passing. So many people have been blessed to see their friendship throughout the years. Our scent changes as we near the end, Key could smell Sherpa and knows. Our pets communicate in ways we no longer understand, they, like all animals have kept their "sixth sense" which most of us have lost.

Everytime I watch a video of Sherpa and Key it makes me sad because I see it now as when Sherpa started getting sick, and how it had been Progressing and Jaime and Sherpa's interactions and how no one knew when it would happening, then it did. It's hard to watch all of them because I no longer ger see them with happiness, because all I really see is Sherpa's health declining. I believe Key did know. When Sherpa arrived, Key was heavily sniffing the left side of Sherpa's body, where the cancer was concentrated. Key was also crying a bit in the living room. The fact that Key was extremely gentle with Sherpa suggests he knew his friend was very sick. Dogs can often smell illness.

I think he knew Sherpa had cancer, Jamie had pointed out in a video he had to of there last visit that Key was sniffing the area where Sherpas tumors were. I’ve watched this a couple times now to better observe the interactions. Since dogs learn by sensory stimulation more than Jodi’s English, he probably knew more going on how Sherpa was recovering than his humans. Sherpa’s smell, body language told Key he needed to be gentle. But you can see the moment Key does the stunt roll for Sherpa he reacts with a doggy smile. It’s clear as a bell. He was cheered by Keys acts
