Buy Your Power Jack HERE -- amzn.to/1rsB8n1
Alright guys so as I alluded to in previous videos I finally got my new Husky Brute Power Jack installed and I'm extremely pleased with it. This has a ball bearing design to allow for a smoother quieter escalation of your trailer tongue and it comes with a 6 inch drop down leg to help with faster setup. But even without the leg the travel speed of this check is 10 inches in less than 38 seconds. So it's definitely no slowpoke. And it's very nice and quiet as to not disturb any Campground patrons. Although I install this on a 24-foot Terry travel trailer that has about a 500 pound tongue weight, the weight rating of this jack will allow me to do quite a bit in the future if I decide to switch it over to another camper because that's how much I love it. I hope this video covers your installation needs. If so, and you like to purchase this jack, make sure to click the link above and I'll take you right to it. Thanks for watching

First video that I've found that shows the darn thing in operation (I wanted to get an idea how loud they are before committing to one). My current jack is screeching like a banshee so I'm really looking forward to getting one of these Huskys out after seeing this video. Thanks!!!

an older video but still relavant. im getting this same jack, thanks for the video and valuable info. should be plenty for our 6000 gross trailer and 1/2 ton truck. i may get a plate welded onto the a frame behind the hitch assembly so i can mount it further back to clear the tailgate when open

Should be able to simply rotate the entire jack 90 degrees for clearance.....

Hi Mike, I've used electric jacks in the past and they make things much easier than hand cranking. And it's a lot quieter than asking your wife to do it. (Joke). Every time I sold my trailer and bought another, I would take the electric jack off and put it on my next camper, so always save the old hand crank. Great video.

I was afraid it was a little "cheesy" to remove the electric jack when the camper sold but I am glad someone else is doing it too. And I agree, although Heidi's help is invaluable when we are setting up and she has helped with the leveling plenty of times, the manual crank is not her thing.. 😁

I bought a 4" extended insert for my receiver when I installed mine. That moved the trailer back just far enough that I can open the tailgate fully with the trailer attached to put ice in my coolers, etc.

@@Rvdaydream Did you rotate it 90 degrees?
@Rvdaydream

The holes are not symmetrical... I would have to redrill for mounting any other way than forward.. I didn't want to do that on this RV.. I could have rotated just the head. However, the jack warra would have been voided..

I replaced my jack with an Ultra-Fab electric jack because their jacks have 2 sets of holes so you can mount it facing forward or facing sideways (that's how I mounted it), so you can lower the tailgate on the truck.

Just received this jack & the instructions state (6) - "If a lower support plate is not already present, install one in the bottom of the trailer frame. Do not operate the jack without a lower support plate". You didn't address this in your video - what does this entail? My trailer triangle tongue is exactly like the one in your video, with 3 threaded holes in the steel plate on top.

Those must be new amendments to the instructions. I would definitely remember reading that during the installation process. Contact husky direct as they were very good about getting me a new Bubble Level when mine failed prematurely.

I need one with memory 1 & 2. I got the 3500 & the 4500 Phoenix and had 3 fail in one year. Trying to find one that’s not a piece of crap that has memory for up and down. I am to lazy to hold a button to go up and down. Let me know if you know if one? Thanks

great video.. im subscribing! question? about this jack. looked like the holes(3) are slightly elongated. is that in case my trailer tongue holes are just slightly different pattern?
@Rvdaydream
@Rvdaydream 4 жыл бұрын
The jack is suitable for almost every trailer that came with a crank Jack originally so I'm assuming there has been some minor changes over the years. I can tell you that in my case I was not able to turn the Jack sideways if I wanted to because the bolt pattern was not symmetrical on the tongue but apparently some people are able to without re-drilling. Again, I'm assuming there must be variances out there. The only reason you may want to turn your jack is if your tailgate just barely touches the Jack when you lower it as you're hooked up to the trailer. Some people find that they can turn the jack at a 90 degrees and it will allow the tailgate to clear. Make sure you click the link in the description for the exact same Jack. That Jack was a beast and I wish I would have transferred it to our brand new RV. The gentleman that bought our old RV says he loves that husky Jack also. It's a really good product.

I've had this jack for 2 years and it just died. I replaced the switch thinking it was an issue with the old switch. NOpe.., with the new switch, the jack works as inconsistently as with the old switch. Today it only wants to go down, and very very slowly. It wont go up either. I cant recommend this jack. BTW the LED lights are junk, way too dim.
