Husky ignores owner

Despite the lack of snow, Ursa wanted to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the yard. Her sense of urgency when I need to leave without her seems to drop drastically. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and I had to leave; so Ursa wanted to soak it all in for as long as possible.

Not if they're properly trained and they respect your authority. All the banter back-and-forth makes for a cute video, but in real life, you teach your husky either "COME" or "CENTER," and you don't take no for an answer. Ever.

@@Susweca5569 yes, you can do that. But I didn't get a husky because I need a dog with no thoughts. I got a husky because of their independence and their attitude. If I wanted pure obedience, I would get that kind of dog.

I have a husky too, and it's incredible how human-like they can be! Mine also often wants to stay outside, and can be hard to motivate to come inside. Even though it's frustrating at times, I can't blame them since they do not have the capacity to understand our human lives and things like jobs, and they truly don't understand why they need to come inside when they're having a lovely time outside. And honestly, if I was chilling outside and someone told me to get up and come in "just because", I would also give them that look haha! Better pay me well for my cooperation!

Our dog does this to any female in the house, but he immediately listens to all the males. So its gotta be that they feel that the female isnt actually as aggressive or as "in charge" as they try to sound. My cousin can scream at our dog and he wont budge and any male can just softly say "well come on then" and he hops up and does what hes told. Even dogs know the difference in gender.

Well your dog is sexist. None of my 3 are. They treat the males the same as the females. They all jump for the words like treat, dinner, and go. And all 3 huskies decide if they want to listen to the individual calling them.
