Husky Puppy Trying To Walk Down Stairs

This is Dakota my gorgeous husky puppy when she was only a couple of weeks old trying to walk down the stairs.
1 minute 40 is hilarious when I tell her "stop being a baby" and she jumps back in protest as if to say "don't dare call me a baby".
Remember whether with your husky or any other dog, it's essential that you're patient and take training slowly. Don't be tempted to pull your dog down the stairs as this will likely lead to fear.

Reminded me of one of my huskies, when she was 2 months old, she climbed the stairs fast, but fell, the worst about this is i jumped to the first stair to prevent her from taking damage, i almost broke my leg doing that, but thank god she's ok.

My dog did the same thing. At times, he would go down the stairs or jump on the couch just fine, but at other times, he would act all pitiful and pretend he was stuck. It was all a ploy to get us to pick him up onto the couch or carry him down the stairs. Worst and funniest part was when he would run back up stairs or jump off the couch and then cry for us to help him again.

If you went skiing for the first time, would you rather: A) immediately take a chairlift up so you could stare out over the abyss, knowing if you fall, you'll be going head over heels for awhile before stopping, or B) walk up the last few feet of that same run, put your skis on, then slide down, knowing that you'll stop in a few feet without even trying. Maybe next time, start your puppy on the floor next to the stairs and leave a trail of treats away from them. Then, put her on the bottom step, and put a treat on the floor within reach. Place the treat further out, and she'll probably just plop off the step, knowing that the floor is a safe place, and that she won't go tumbling down a dozen steps.

She's adorable! 😊👍. All puppies find this task at first a struggle. But, in the end they manage to overcome it. But, we all try things to get them to go down stairs. We tried the bottom two or three at first then added it to 5 then higher then from the top. A pup will not go from the top on their first attempts no matter what you do to tempt them. But, it is cute watching them struggle with the stairs.
