My friend had a bunch of Huskies for her dog sled. We visited with my 18 month old daughter, and my daughter ran into the ice frozen lake and was soaked. Took her home and gave her a warm bath, but the best was, when I put her on the floor, the dogs circled her and kept her warm. All I could see was her head surrounded by 7 huskies. She fell asleep and they cuddled her.

Husky's are both very intelligent and very high energy dogs which makes them a bad choice for anyone who cannot access huge areas for them to run around. Buddy (My Siberian/Shepard) could climb over 6' foot fences and open gate latches so the only way to control him was to take him out regularly to walk and sniff around a nearby lake. He was trained to be Off-Lead and would return on command, however this created issues with other people when he played with wild animals, sometimes causing them to walk up and nuzzle ne whilst I was walking Buddy.

I had Huskies, my world is not the same without them. The beautiful songs, the eaten woodwork, all the vegetables chewed, complaints to the R.S.P.C.A as they sound like I was mistreating them, the constant shedding, the holes everywhere, and the zoomies. None of that matters as that is what they are about, love is both ways.

I recently rescued an 8 months old stray border collie mixed with husky and whatever else. When inside, she's agoodgirl. Pays attention and obedient. Outside... I'm not her real dad. I can tell when commands land on the collie brain because she's excited to do right and get praise. When things land on the husky brain...dialup internet modem connecting noises. On the upside, she's quiet. Although, I suspect that may be because she was beaten for barking as a puppy and when she was on the street, as a young dog, she probably survived by being stealthy and fast. She's very timid with other dogs, so I suspect she was chased and lost out on food to other street dogs.

Nobody took a notice of the husky dog that was standing near the gate , and putting and leaning its face on two of the Iron bars, if its tip and edges were sharp then it would get pierced his skin and mouth and face area in halves. For the luck of the dog the Iron bar's tip were not so sharp , that's why he survived
