The one thing they didn't mention is that the Shiba Inu was originally bred for hunting birds and rabbits which would explain why the one I have is almost cat like in its reflexes and loves to catch and eat rodents. She lives for the hunt and escaping as much as possible because there are rodents and cats to hunt.

Both breeds are great. But are high energy if not exercised enough can both be destructive and stubborn Definitely both are not recommended for first time dog owners.

Depends on the dog. The husky I rescued hated men so she was a super guard dog. She did like the caretaker so I’m guessing she thought he was harmless but she always seemed to know if a car mechanic was lying / over-charging me 😉Also, huskies are in fact super intelligent but in the same way cats know exactly what’s happening but pretend to be oblivious.

My shiba is very stranger friendly and doesnt bark/howl. Most of the shibas i know aren't aggressive either. In the end it stills depends on how the dogs are being trained. One thing for sure, they're very stubborn and definitely doesn't show their affection like most dogs.

My shiba is almost the opposite to a lot of these that are low. Probably has to do with the owner at the end of the day. Mines very social.

They excel in any form of adaptive intelligence while retaining superb hunting instincts at the same time. Even if they never need them. They haven’t been around since 300 B.C. because they aren’t smart, I promise you that. They’re stubborn. No offense but there’s a 100% chance you weren’t teaching it right, if you thought it was dumb. I’m sorry but that’s true.
