Very well and easily explained. My problem is, my 5 month old Husqvarna blower is hard to start. It eventually starts after I pull enough. Any suggestion? Thanks
@RealManSkills
@RealManSkills 5 жыл бұрын
Use only non-ethanol high octane gasoline, check for fouled spark plug, check for clean air filter - also, the EPA has forced companies to run carbs very lean to reduces emissions. Most carbs have a HIGH and LOW speed adjustment - open up the HIGH speed needle just a bit. Those are my suggestions. Thanks for watching.

good job on taking this apart. However, do you know where the suction line coming from the bulb goes? You didn't explain the very thing I'm searching for. But close. I see the lines clearly. I just need to know where the discharge and suction line goes. Does the suction line go into where the filter is in the tank? That is not how I got my kit which was already hooked to rubber grommet. So just wondering how to hook the entire system up to the carb. Thanks.

Me, too. Mine was struggling to start and run without a lot of choke. I removed the air filter and it ran fine. Ordered a tune up kit that included new fuel line material and a new in-tank fuel filter and spark plug. And primer bulb. Lost track of which fuel line connects to which end. Still puzzling it out.

Great video!! The only thing I saw that was, and I don't even want to say wrong, the choke lever is in the "off" position when it is to the left as you have shown. Either way, its a great video. One Qquestion. What would be causing the blower to turn off once it warms up and I take the choke from 1/2 to no choke??
@RealManSkills
@RealManSkills 6 жыл бұрын
Once the engine is warm but the unit will not idle without dying, it's possible that the low idle jet is not open far enough. There is a High idle and a low idle. Turn the low idle jet counterclockwise a little at a time until the unit stays running (without using the throttle/trigger). Hope that helps.

Very well done video. My Husqvarna 125bvx is brand new and seems to be bogging down. It seems to run/idle high for a few seconds and then bogs down. I just received it Christmas. Any ideas ? Thanks
@RealManSkills
@RealManSkills 5 жыл бұрын
For the sake of emission control regulations, the manufacturers often turn the carbs down as lean as possible. This restricts the fuel flow to the engine. On the carb, you will find two adjustment screws - H and L. The L is for Low idle and the H is for High speed. You may need to OPEN the H screw out just a bit to let more fuel through. You may need a special screwdriver that is available through ebay, amazon or any number of internet sources. I've seen them at Home Depot as well (near lawn mower department). Hope you get it figured out. Thanks for watching.

I replaced the primer bulb, filter, lines with one of the kits and still have difficulty starting when cold. Also notice evidence of small fuel leak after blower sits for extended period. Am tearing apart today to have another go at it.

sblg43, I think I followed your directions exactly, however, after replacing the fuel lines, filter, and bulb, I am unable to get any fuel in the bulb when I push the bulb multiple times. Can you please let me know what could've happened? Thank you for the awesome video. This repair could save me $100.

does the fuel filter connect to the short line coming out of tank or the long line that was still connected to the carb? my fuel filter came off and i don't know what line it goes to .
@RealManSkills
@RealManSkills 4 жыл бұрын
The filter should be attached to the fuel line that goes from the carburetor into the tank. It should lay in the bottom of the tank. The lines that go to the primer bulb do not connect to any filter. Thanks for watching.

Would this be the most likely cure to a blower which runs only in "choke"? It stalls out when taken out of chock or, half-choke position.
@RealManSkills
@RealManSkills 5 жыл бұрын
That is usually a sign of a dirty or worn out carburetor. I recommend cleaning and rebuilding or replacing the carburetor. Check the fuel lines for wear or cracks/leaks. Thanks for watching.

I sure hope you're still around.My problem is that I cannot tell which nipple on the primer bulb attaches to which hose? One nipple on the primer bulb expels air when the bulb is pushed; the other nipple on the primer bulb causes suction when the pushed nipple is released.Which goes where?Thanks if you can help me, or not.p.s. Is the fuel drawn into the carb through the lower fuel line? I thought the intake hose went in through the top, after going through the filter.

Ok I did all of this replaced carb and all fuel lines still new store bought premix. Runs but shuts off as soon as I try to turn choke off. Any ideas?
@RealManSkills
@RealManSkills 6 жыл бұрын
These 2 stroke carbs have a low idle adjustment screw and a high adjustment screw. If your blower doesn't idle without shutting down, try to turn the low idle screw counter clockwise a little at a time until it stays running. There is also a throttle speed control screw - turn that clockwise to increase speed if necessary. Hope that helps.
