I was trying to port my first cylinder for my 61 rancher 52mm big bore. I was using the titan nickel cylinder I was being super gentle and all it did was flake and flake 😤😤😤

Those are bad for flaking get the cheapest cyl you can find to practice on buddy

Those harder platings need TLC and some grinding experience. Grind your name into some flat stock with all different bits and speeds you can do anything matt.
