Couldn't agree more that the 365 is the best saw ever made. Had dozens of saws from Stihl and husky of all sizes and the 365 special is my go to saw for 90% of jobs.

Husqvarna saws run good there is no doubt the only downfall I find with them out of the box is the mufflers do not allow them to get the heat out of the cylinder fast enough but that goes for most all power saws.

the 3 series of chainsaws from husqvarna are brilliant, the 365 or 372 , id get a 435 first the add a 365 or 372 to it once you get used to it
@Sparaco4872 жыл бұрын
@@WoolysWorld i dont like any of the 4series.Id point you to a good old 50 or 51 over a 435,440 or 450..the 350 was pretty good for the clam shells and you can turn it into a 346xp
@JenkinsMowing862 жыл бұрын
Try a 545 for a good (serious) starter saw. Then maybe move to a 550 mark II. Smaller 45-50 cc professional saws and easy to handle. The 550xp is brilliant for a 50cc, they defied physics with this saw. But if your just learning how to operate a saw I wouldn't go there. Maybe 400 series or look at a 135... depends on what you're doing with it. For the money you're better off getting an Echo saw honestly(490 may be good for you). Husky homeowner saws are kind of cheap made and overpriced but they perform well. Imo no saws are better than the Husqvarna pro saws though. Like above poster stated the 300 series are legendary. And if it's an XP it's still made in Sweden. Definitely not for beginners.

Tell me. What’s the difference between a Husquavarna and a sthil?
@WoolysWorld2 жыл бұрын
Man has been searching for the answer to that question since the dawn of time
@soggz42462 жыл бұрын
@@WoolysWorld lol. The answer is in the clutch. The Sthil has an external one, the husky is internal. I think the husky’s is to lessen the gyroscopic effect of the saw when you turn it upright to sideways. It’s a question I asked on my NPTC saw maintenance test. The instructor didn’t know, so I told him that, and he looked at me blankly and just gave me a pass. Makes sense, though. All the best.

This is very good chainsaw indeed. I also have one 365 XT but it ain't better than lets say old Stihl 038 magnum(also 70cc chainsaw). Why? She's bitch to start sometimes. Even harder to start with decompressor valve than without it(it can start either way). Stihl has better starting or ignition system, more robust housing and plastic, and it is proven in reliability through almost half century of usage. 365 XT has advantages as it is much lighter than old Stihl 038 Magnum, it is also bit faster in cutting, it has an excellent air filter system(no need for cleaning for a really long time while with stihl you'd better clean it after each tank or two) but after some extensive use plastic air filter holder will have melting syndrome (especially at summer days if you work continuously only with her. Is it worth the money? Yes! Probably best buy chainsaw in a world... But it ain't better than Stih pro series of chainsaws.
@WoolysWorld3 жыл бұрын
Fantastic comment man , thanks. Funny enough my 36t won't start at all if you press the decomp valve
@majstorivan48053 жыл бұрын
HI @@WoolysWorld... I also forgot to mention that chain also tends to loosen more often than on Stihl chainsaws(after extensive use this was not happening to me when she was new)... I really can't get why? Especially when I need to knock down larger tree(yesterday I knocked one with 1.20 diameter, 20" bar on 365 XT. I had to tighten chain twice during that action... But maybe it is just mine 365 XT?). But it is very powerful and light chainsaw and for such money we got do deal with some minor flaws ;) Greetings from Europe!

Why in the world are you sawing the wood? Once you have cylinders (blocks) on the ground, lay the flat side down and use an axe to split them fast! I've split everything but elm, gum, and scaly bark hickory. I needed a sledge and a couple of wedges for them! Too old now to split wood!
