Oh you tease! I was waiting for the final cut with the big bar!! I've had a 550xp mk2 for about 18 months. The speed and power and balance is far better than my older 50 and 51 and 55 Huskies, and it makes an excellent companion to the 572xp and the 500i. My only complaint is that I cannot get the oiler to keep up, even at the top setting. I did change to a 3/8 sprocket rather than .325 so I could take advantage of other chains and bars. Thanks for the video--I'll be waiting for Part 2!!

Same power/weight as a 5105, and they've been out a loonnngg time lol. Nice runners for sure and they handle better than a 5105, and they have those awesome flippy caps. I still prefer my late model 550mk1's, much lighter and they handle very well with an 18x325and get incredible fuel economy.

Just bought mine, started right up at the dealer. Then I brought it up the mountain to 9000 feet elevation to my house and it probably took 20 pulls to get it to start and at first it refused to idle. Had to do a tuning cut to dial it in, now it starts right up.

I have watched alot of ported saws. They crank them up but, you can't lean on them or they poop out. I have a ported ms 250. I can lean on it. But I keep it a bit rich. 45cc saw it will out cut a 346xp. Same sharp chain. Looks like the 550 does a good job. Very stout saw in hardwood for 50cc. I believe sharpness of chain makes a big difference.

I had such problems with the 550 xp model... MkII no longer has such problems.... it is my most favorite saw... In Slovakia, this saw costs €899 including VAT.

Salut! Ambii producatori au drujbe foarte bune, fiecare cu avantaje si dezavantaje specifice fiecarui model. Trebuie sa alegi in functie de buget, ce lemne si sa tai, si bineanteles ce volum de munca... Numai bine!

No break in needed. He just Starts cutting. There really is No " break in" with a two Stroke. Just allow the same Some warm up time and You won't score you cylinder And piston.

Foarte bună am tăiat cu una mie personal mi sa părut mai rapidă față de ms 261 care am tăiat şi cu iel ori că la 550 lanțu lam ascuțit ieu cu pila la ms 261 a fost ascuțit cu pilă în suport un versus între cele două aştept dacă se poate respect.

That 550 seems like a hot rocket right out of the box. I have a rancher 450 but its pretty weak. My main firewood saw is a 390XP. I run a 22" bar on it mainly and also a 28 a fair bit and have a 36 also. Looking for a lighter saw for the smaller stuff. Going back and forth between the 550 and 562. whats your opinon?

I own an older 362xp and some bigger saws. When I go to limbing I will grab a 45cc saw. You can get more work done with the bigger saws, but they will tire you out more. Takes away the extra strength and energy you need for loading. I wanted a 346xp. But got a good deal on a blown up stihl ms 250. I put a new engine in it and opened up the ports and muffler. Cuts like a 50cc saw. That 390xp is a hoss. I just bought a 395 clone. Very pleased with it. Big wood big saw. Small wood small saw. Each tool has its purpose. My go to saw for heavy work is a 372. I don't know much on the newer saws but I figure they are about the same just a bit lighter with more power.

@@poparamiro...eu detin primul model de 550 xp din 2017 si nu mi-a facut probleme nici in perioada de garantie nici post garantie. O folosesc cu lama de 45 de la Sugihara cu cap interschimbabil, canal de 1,5 lant tip dalta deoarece in zona de unde sunt am padure de salcam si stejar asadar esente tari dar am achizitionat si lant semi dalta toate sunt originale Husqvarna, lama originala de 38 cred ca nu am folosit-o decat la prima pornire apoi am pus-o la pastrare. Pentru lucrarile curente din gospodarie folosesc bijuteria 136 pe care o am din 2007 si care functioneaza perfect, nu am pus decat bujie( pe care le schimb obligatoriu odata pe an) NGK BPRM7A ( 136)sunt destul de ieftine si la fel ca si filtrul de carburant prefer sa le stiu in perfecta stare de functionare. Pana sa achizitionez 550 xp-ul 136 isi facea treaba cu succes dar adata cu diametrele de peste 40 cm am considerat ca 550 xp-ul este mult mai potrivita. Acum...ramane sa vad daca 572xp-ul sau 592 xp-ul ma ajuta si la padure unde diametrele stejarului sunt de peste 50 cm...asa ca pana in primavara am timp sa ma decid si sa-mi fac temele temeinic inainte sa achizitionez una din cele doua ,,masini". Since new, I have had nothing but problems with the performance of this model. SORRY FOLKS.... I once worked for a husky dealership...so, I bought one... Buy a Sthil... I own 7 Sthil chainsaws. My little Sthil 025 outperforms this Husky....Sorry... Warranty...WHAT WARRANTY...if I took it in to a shop...there is no warranty. I am better to tear it down and figure what is wrong... It has one of these auto-tune carb/fuel systems ... garbage... Old school carbs... my Sthil...25 year...and my 1st carb kit installed...AMAZING

I own both an 025,MS250 ,a 261c and the 550 xp mk2 in the video and I think anybody that has ever run an 025 or MS250 Stihl or even the pro model 261c knows this saw outperforms all 3. It blows the 025/ms250 away but whatever you say..😂 And to say it doesn’t have a warranty is a another blatant lie.

You got a lemon,025 out perform a 550?thr 550 competed or beats the crowd loved husky 61 model in its claimed 3.9 hp and the mark 2 is claimed 4.0hp..if the 025 performs anything like my ms251 even tuned really lean you really got a lemon of a 550 or you dont under stand they tune off wide open throttle,that means long unneeded idle times messes with the tune.my 550 even makes my 257 look dated and under powered
