Hey brother, I wouldn't mind a longer video on this type of repair. I've watched plenty of 45 minute videos on these type of jobs and it's really helpful seeing a skilled tech doing this work

@@TheGreasyShopRag thanks man. your voice-overs are great and I enjoy your humble attitude. A lot of saw shop guys are downright condescending to us rookies

Another decomp claims a top end! Ive always just plugged them! I saw in comments you were asked about moto seal ive used it and hondabond yamahbomd dirko all works about the same. Case halfs or gasket delete all works good!

What is the torque spec for cylinder bolts on this saw? Is it the same for others like the 572? Also its interesting they put the gasket maker on the front and back. I just did a ms460 that had a big air leak under exhaust where the case halfs meet. Maybe if stihl did that, it wouldn't have happened.
@TheGreasyShopRagАй бұрын
8-10 Nm and the 572 is 9 Nm. I guess you could say they are both the same. The newer units come with a gasket that has already been prepped with a gasket sealant in those places.

Do you recommend eliminating the Decomp button on all size Husqvarna saws?
@TheGreasyShopRag Жыл бұрын
Not really. Some big high compression saws can really benefit but that decomp valve also saves starter wear.
@hynes0576 Жыл бұрын
What do you use to plug the hole for the decomp valve ? I have a new one on order and might delete it right from the beginning

What kind of sealant did you use on the cylinder gasket? Would you recommend using sealant on a 555 cylinder as well?
@TheGreasyShopRag Жыл бұрын
The sealant I use is what Stihl recommends. Dirko HT. The way I applied it is very close to the factory suggested method although I spread it a bit too wide, meaning the length of that bead should have stayed inside the bolt holes (don't go all the way to the edge of the gasket). Ya its weird but they are the engineers so who am I to argue. Yes the 555 is the same way.

Thanks a lot I appreciate it. I think im going to go with Permatex Motoseal since my parts store carries it. What do you think of it? Awesome videos keep it up

What do you think about husqarna 562 good model or not ?

The first ones had issues but the new ones are great. Its one of the few models we can't keep in stock.

Dad has one and the 562XP is computerized.Coil went out of it once causing a no start,had to take it to the nearest Husqvarna dealer to tune it to make it run right
@TheGreasyShopRag2 жыл бұрын
I don't see many issues with the Autotune components.

@@TheGreasyShopRag He hated this saw at first.Would not start hot after use after shutting it off. Bought it new,had it fixed under a recall once
@TheGreasyShopRag2 жыл бұрын
@@Toolaholic7 One common reason for hot restart problems is not setting the fast idle before attempting to start. On hot days pressing the primer and cycling some hot fuel out of the carb also helps.
