I don't know how I missed this video, but as always it's a joy to watch you making wood chips and big trees fly. I think you've nailed the recipe for the 572, that saw gets right with the program. Safe cuttin pard

That 572 really screams! Even with a buried 32” bar, it’s holding full RPM.

Looking good Jack ! AT will be very happy I'm sure. The UK seem to have at last got some 572s on the shelf, no sign yet for us next door ! What's the lift height on that Silvey ?
@hotsaws101
@hotsaws101 6 жыл бұрын
Dave hi. So missed this one.... 3.25 until you see the blue line. ~ 3.5 and you see the red line, at which point you will be rebuilding it, except there are not any seal kits available that I know of since Silvey went d.o.a around 4 years back. Thank for watching.

Jack. Wanna share your string trick with us? I think i know what your getting at with it. But be fun to find out exactlly why and how you do it.
@hotsaws101
@hotsaws101 6 жыл бұрын
Victor hi. On the tree, it is for observing the forward or aft lean when perpendicular to the (hopefully) intended fell direction - figure out what's need to get it heading the desired way. When in line with the intended fell direction, it is for assessing the side lean and/or limb weight for compensation purposes.Blessing to you on his day.

Novice question. What is the little string your holding up for.
@hotsaws101

Oddman hi. Levity - I always thought it was a plumb and the "bob" was holding the string..... Hope the humor is not missed here.

Happy with its performance over the 461 ??
@hotsaws101
@hotsaws101 6 жыл бұрын
Rowan hi. Haven't sawed it off against an equally done up 461 yet. I'm not a fan of saws that show up from the factory with a built in air leak. Which is what most of the new and improved strato saws have. It's like adding oxygen to a torch for the cutting aspect. Better have the best oil around in that application...... Thanks for watching.

that was cool. Just got a 441 yesterday and I am now dreaming of the day that you get to build my saw. once I break it in this winter cutting firewood. You got a job. Also would like you to cut with my saw on you tube. Bad to the bone or as my friend would say bad ass. I picked the 441 because of the 044 back when I was teenager(mid 90's) and my father in law still has two 044 that he saws with. 44 Stihl is a true Legend. Kinda bothers me how the 461 and soon 462 is taking over. I am also a husky fan. But thats another story.

@hotsaws101
@hotsaws101 6 жыл бұрын
Maxx hi. if you are asking what bar lengths can be run on a saw like this, then yes. I had a 33" bar on it the other day and it pulls it the same as this 32". Thanks for watching.
