Thank you for this video, I had a 511 and I'm very stupid for selling it and regret it, especially being in America where they are incredibly rare. I've never seen another, but I'm looking at the 701 so nice to see how they match up.

I live in Bali and have had my SMR511 for almost 5 years now. It is the perfect bike imo. I bloody love it. It definitely makes you drive like a hooligan though!

One summer when I was 10 or 11 I used a good and (illegally) tuned classic moped in the deep forests of Finland, and without accident, not even a slip, what I learned was Respect for everything with fast two-wheeled vehicles.. The 511 sounds like something I'd use for rehabilitation when I've woken up on the wrong side of the bed on a Monday after the worst week of the year.

Hi RJ, Love your daily observations. I had a Husky SM630 a year ago loved. I traded it in for a Aprilia 1200 Dorosoduro an even more hooligan bike. Hard to say which one is the most fun probably having both. Anyway keep turning out these great down loads. I live in NZ and we love year round riding.

I am waiting for my 701 to arrive. In California they still haven't been released for EPA reasons. I had a 450SMR previous. I'm Hoping I'll love the 701 as much as my old 450. Thx for the informative posts RJ

Both bikes looks gorgeous! But I prefer the 701. SMR 511 at 115kg is great. My Husaberg FC600 weights 110kg, glad I beat you at something RJ ;)

Thanks for taking the time to share. Is the 701 set up for a rider of around 75 kg's? I'm assuming you need to upgrade the suspension to accommodate most peoples weight? I ride the 2017 FE501 but love these bikes. Thanks again

Remus or Akrapovic? for my 701 sm. the factory akra has an unremovable db killer and costs 900 euros , Remus makes for now a Race only exhaust and costs around 720 euros.

Both Husqvarna's look great but if I could only have 1 it would be the 511. I'm not exactly sure what year the 511 is but I'd say it's a 2011 to 2013 when BMW owned Husqvarna and the 449 & 511 had the CTS or Coaxial Traction System and that was a excellent design. Love them both but I'd go with the 511.

i will say you havent uncorked the 701 yet its ion stock form vs a fully uncorked 511. your 511 is badass af after the mods tho! best supermoto is a converted ktm500 exc or a husqi 501

I have really been wanting to get into supermotos but I have been having an issue with seat height. All of the bikes I have been looking at are quite tall. What type of riding changes can I expect if I lower the seat a few inches?

I had a 2013 KTM EXC500 That I converted to a Supermoto bike was a blast to ride lose your license quick fast lol ! I had to sell it needed cash and found out I can't live without it lol so to get a new EXC500 and make it a Supermoto cost big money so I don't know what I want ? I don't know if I would like the husky 701???? I was thinking about a Yamaha WR450F and convert that to Supermoto or just get a Yamaha FZ-07 that bike get great reviews and the price is right! What do you recommend for me ?

+RoyalJordanian Next year I want to buy me a Nuda 900 (Without R). My biggest problem as a student is that i don't have much money to buy a "new" Nuda because they are very expensive. At least here in Germany. I've found one with about 25000 Kilometers milage. I want to ask you if 25k Kilometers are acceptable for a Nuda. Im planning to own this bike as long as it will and can drive me :)
