Sweet! I'm gonna go get me the same bike in a month :) Have you done anything to yours?
@Joebro2009 ай бұрын
@@SpawnOfSweden yes sir! I’ve done pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted to do to it already lol. Got the Wings slip on W/O DB killer (sounds so good no audio clip online does it justice trust me) got a power commander 6, SAS delete (smog garbage), Rottweiler intake, Rottweiler tail tidy, TST front turn signals for the KTM 690 (they work on 701), front black fender and headlight cover, Oberon slave cylinder (the older 701’s had a slave cylinder problem. New ones apparently have a different slave cylinder, but I changed mine out just to be safe I guess) these bikes run lean from the factory and pulling the stock slip on muffler off, which houses the catalytic converter, makes it run much more lean. Bike is choked up a lot from the factory is what I’m saying. It’s already a wild bike stock, but a tune with intake and a better breathable slip on without a big cat in it makes this bike an absolute animal. It’s scary lol. You have to seriously respect it cause the power to weight on this bike, especially after a tune, is insane. But the tune/intake/exhaust are necessary cause the stock tune is trash. You’ll go from having no power in first with stock tune to all a sudden all the power lol. Tune fixes that but again, just wanna stress this bike is nuts. 300 lb bike with something like 80-90 crank hp and 60-70 crank tq after the basic intake/exhaust/power commander mod is really something to be carful with. I’ve almost looped this bike more times then I can count now just cause I cracked it in first too hard, or thought I was in second and was actually in first and grabbed too much throttle. First will loop you faster then you can say “shit”. Just wanted to throw that cautionary tale out there. Last mod I want is a gear indicator. It’s the greatest bike ever though I’m never selling mine. Hope you enjoy yours!

I’ve commented on this video a few times now, and this is a great review. I’m a big fan of the channel this guy produces great content. After getting my 2023 701 tuned with an air intake and exhaust it’s a complete beast of a bike. I honestly think this bike goes past just being a “jack of all trades master of fun” cause it actually excels in everything pretty much better then most bikes. Honestly, this is probably one of the more competitive track bikes you can get. It corners better then anything if you can ride it to its fullest potential and it’s a torque monster. I have buddies with other 700’s and 900’s and this bike is just on another level. With it being 300 pounds and having the grunt it does, it’s a weapon. Also, comfort. This bike is honestly so comfortable it’ll ruin every other bike for you. I hear so many people say “eh you can’t ride it for hours cause the seats hard” but that’s bullshit. This bike is so damn comfortable. The seat is a perfect blend of stiff and soft. I’ve ridden other “comfort” bikes like the Tenere 700 and the tracer 900GT and they give me a very similar comfort vibe. I am 25 so I’m not dying for anything crazy comfortable rn, but this bike doesn’t miss in that department at all. This bike is a damn steal for 14K out the door. Plus, the quick shifter up and down is so damn premium. You get a lot for your money on this bike

Best order an Oberon or Rekluse clutch slave and change it out immediately. They are a known weak point and fail with great regularity. The problem is the stock slave has a "X" style ring gasket and it tears and loses pressure. They say that it can be corrected by installing an "O" ring but the Oberon and Rekluse are far superior in design and will outlast the stock diaphragm version. My 2020 Svartpilen 701 has essentially the same motor and setup and my clutch slave went at around 2000 miles. I have heard of the slaves failing as the bike is leaving the dealership lot right after purchase so keeping the stock unit is a total gamble. Otherwise an awesome bike. Congrats and welcome to the Husky family. Might as well get the Rottweiler fuel dongle too while you're at it to clean up the low rpm throttle twitchiness.

They're light so good for handling and put out about the same power as the 701 so more fun for speed too. The only downside is oil change every 20 hours but I don't get to ride much so that doesn't bother me. I have had CRF 450s road legal before but the maintenance on proper off-road bikes is annoying they need new top ends less than every 100 hours where as the excf will go atleast 250 hours without a top end

I'm giving the KTM and GAS GAS a look but I think for sure I'll be on this Husky.

I have the 701 enduro and a Grom. I just got back from a 3,000 mile trip. The hard seat and short fuel range was a problem but I’m working that out.

Short fuel range?

It only holds 3.2 gallons. Where I live that’s not enough. I just installed the Rade Garage aux tank to fix that issue.

@@BlackdogADV I have an SM version. about 180/190 miles on the 13ltr tank. But that is all road use, i take it you're off road a fair bit of that?

I use my bike for Arctic trips where it’s 220 miles between stations. Even in Nevada stations are 120 miles apart but I always take side trips making it further.

@@BlackdogADV I see, then that extra 5ltrs will make a big difference. Don't they now make an 701 long range now?

Hi. Do you have a link to the mirror? I know you mentioned CRG Hindsight mirror but did you have to do any altering to the bike to make the mirror work ?
