Husqvarna CR 500 1983 upstart

First upstart after many years of standstill. See this almost unused awesome Husky starting up.

Beautiful bike, as hard as my 1986 Honda cr500 is to start I could never imagine having to do it with my left leg. I'd definetly be kicking on the side of the bike using my right leg still. Love these vintage big bore 2 strokes.

I am a lefty, that's just the kind of bike I need!! My dad had a '89 Honda XLX 350R, boy did I suffered with that kick starter lol, almost broke my leg hundreds of times. anyway, congrats for the beautiful machine!!

Husky Banana. The king of Sweden. Made me smile when you said it. Not to many people nowadays that remember that "sloagan" . That bike looks just AMAZING. one of my bucket list bikes is a steal tank husky. For now i have 2 wr 360`s a 94 and a 02. And i love those bikes. Swedish made husqvarna is something raly special. THanks for making this video.

I ve got one after all the shit with CCM 4 valve four strokes. It was a great motor. Despite I like 4 strokes till now. My son of 16 years started it with no problems at all. And he ride it too .

It. WAs a motor with no problems at all. After a time I rebuild it to enduro. Only 1 problem ; the benzine valve was of or on . And no reserve. It was designed for mx gps 40 minutes + 2 rounds. Oeps no benzine is push the motor. And in a time that Gsm didn’t excist. Oeps fun to push a motor in the sand. If you can find, buy it. But before ask if spare parts are still available at normal prices.

Wow absolutely fantastic bike I live in the United States in New Jersey and I actually have a 1983 Husqvarna 500 XC in fantastic condition back in those days Husqvarna didn't have a place to sell bikes this one was actually sold at a beaver dam Marina in Point Pleasant New Jersey Husqvarna would take any floorspace they could get in order to sell the bike my friend bought a brand new and I got it off of him still have all the original paperwork how much you pay for it everything

Det är betydligt enklare om man kickar som man ska. Det vill säga dra kicken till övre vändläge, och kicka igenom. Kicka i kompressionstakten är det absolut sämsta.

Malung menade Tias . Ja de var ju trevliga på en bred grusväg eller dansbana, på stigar nej 4 växlade fick ta bort tomgången till att börja med, för släppte man gasen så kunde den slå till. Men helt klart en trevlig cykel.

I had a 82 cr250 and i kicked it the same as you. I always laugh at the guys who use a stand and boot to start the left side kick bikes
