Great video with lot of information. Finally I found out some source about pin position. Most important information from this video is that 4A power supplies positive lead is in the middle and negative is on the side. There is tonns of good 24V 5A power supplies in market (Adjustable to 28.8V) for 100€ industrial grade (Siemens SITOP for example), just need to take care about no water gets in this power supply (Control cabinet or some other cheap solution). 250€ for power supply is definitly too expensive...

I have had a couple of Automower 115h units with the upgraded cards running in my yard for a couple of years now. Shortly before Hurricane Ian, I live in Lakeland, FL, I parked both units. I didn't do anything about restarting them for a bit after the hurricane because there were a lot of small branches in the yard. When I went to restart both the charging stations on both had the flashing blue lights. I did some digging online and found some troubleshooting suggestions. Both of the power units show 28 volts out of those units as well as at the end of the cords that connect to the charging stations. No sign of any marks on the connectors. I then disconnected the perimeter wires and the guide wires and checked the power across the guide wire connectors of the charging units both with the mowers docked and with them pulled away from the station. My reading there on both is just over 34 volts. I have not had any luck with an explanation for this but wondering if anyone thinks the charging station card has been fried. During the hurricane we did have some lightning strikes and I think I recall one in the back yard near where the two perimeter wires run parallel to each other. We also had a total power outage that lasted a couple of days. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't want to invest in boards to then find that the mowers themselves have also been affected. An afterthought that I am thinking of trying in the morning is to take a large piece of guide wire, about 15 ft. and connect it to each side of the perimeter wire connectors to see if I get a solid good light. Only question is do I have to also put a guide wire in the loop as well?

I was given a free 430xh but didn't come with base or transformer charger. So of course I'm getting a no loop error. What is the minimum I need to get the mower to run before I invest big money in a new base and transformer? Can I mimic the frequency of the wire to get it to start?
@RoboticMowerServices
@RoboticMowerServices Жыл бұрын
Nope. You need the charging station to produce the signal that the mower will follow. And you need the transformer and low voltage cable to power the charging station

Great Video looking forward to part2 as I have the flashing blue LED and no loop error on the mower. I have tested the adapter and cables with a multimeter and they are good, I have tested the loop wire with a wire tester and its good too so my final guess is the board in the base may be damaged. I am leaning this way as when I stripped it down i found ants had made a home inside and i think they may have damaged the board even though it looks sealed from moisture. Its a McCulloch Rob 1000.

Insects can cause quite a bit of damage on boards. Did you check to see how many volts you have coming out of the charging station at the right and left boundary wire terminals?
@Bracebarian
@Bracebarian 3 жыл бұрын
@@RoboticMowerServices yes. 6volts. Which I don’t think is enough. I have ordered a new PCB, fingers crossed. Other then changing the wiring loom there isn’t much else to change. 😀

@@RoboticMowerServices I have 4 year old 450X. Lightning strike overhead followed by no power from the power supply. Replaced power supply and have steady green light at charging station and am able to charge the mower. Mower backs out of the charging station a couple of feet and then stops - no loop signal. I have continuity in the boundary wire and the guide wires with about 7 ohms resistance. How do I "check to see how many volts you have coming out of the charging station at the right and left boundary wire terminals" and what should the voltage be? I have done the new loop signal to re-connect the mower with the charging station. What else can I test before ordering a new charging station circuit board? Thanks, your video are very

@@michaelbeeston1452 disconnect the right and left boundary wires and use a multimeter to measure the voltage coming out of the charging station at the right and left boundary wire terminals on the charging station. Positive probe on one terminal and negative probe on the other. If you reading is a negative number, switch the probes. The voltage can vary a bit, but we look for at least 28 volts at this point, but have seen some mowers work with 26. When you go through the steps to re-connect the mower and charging station, does the mower say "Connection Changed" or does it just go back to the menu screen? If it does not specifically say "Connection Changed" then it did not work.

New PCB fitted, had to resync the mower with a new loop signal but Rob is back up an running and cutting the grass. Thanks for your part 1 video it saved me from assuming it was the power supply.

I have the ‘horrible blue flashing light’ on my 310. Adapter voltage 28,1V loop voltage 25,9V. My loops are absolutly fine. Around 4 Ohms each. When I connect the loopconnectors directly with a short cable: still blue flashing. Do you think I have to order a new electronic board? Or can a local dealer read-out the print with the service port? Thank you! 🙂

The board is the only component left to really question from the information you are providing. I would suggest removing the board from the charging station and looking for any evidence of a failed or burnt component on the board.

@@RoboticMowerServices Thanks, meanwhile I have installed a new board. And green light and running again 😀 And there were insects in the housing. The circuit was indeed minimal corroded. Greetings ✌🏻

Mine has been flashing blue for over a year, with a large garden I can’t be doing with digging up the entire system as it would take forever. I think these first gen mowers are a horrible design using a loop wire. I wish there was a better system to find an accurate pin point area to locate the issue but it seems a lost cause sadly.
