Was using 701 almost every day for 4 years. Sold it cuz needed money for business. Now moved to another country for living. Can’t wait to get a new 701. I simply don’t want any other bike 🤷♂️ And yes, bought it in my late twenties 🤣

“The bike that makes you feel young” is perfect. In my mid fifties i must agree. I use my Ktm 690 for commuting to work and quick trips to the shops as well as trails when i get the opportunity. It’s a fantastic city bike and handles the traffic and rough city roads we have here in the states with ease. It’s not my only bike but quickly became a favorite

Couldn't agree more about the fun aspect. I've had mine about two months it has to be one of the best bile's I've ever ridden. Were you referring to the traction control when talking about the ABS because you can turn of both traction control and ABS, but ABS only to the rear wheel which keeps ABS on at the front, But I'm loving my bike and its brilliant to see your enthusiasm

Great review and loved the autumnal setting (watch out for those slippery leaves on the road). I quite fancy one of these bikes for the road (tons of hp and little weight) and unusual.

I have a 2007 ktm 690 sm. Very unique look as they only made that body style for 2 yrs. Hard to find alot of aftermarket for but i love it. Its so light and nimble. The vibrations of the single cylinder can get annoying if you let the rpms climb but i keep it around 4k in whatever gear i need and have a blast throwung it side to side.

Looks fun! Initial reactions: 1. Does look quite tall. 2. Those pure on-road tires look a bit odd on a bike that may get used off-road or on gravel…?

It is quiet talk to be honest. But because it’s so light, not an issue at all. There is an MX version of it.
