Husqvarna Svartpilen Part 4 (Bar end mirrors, upcoming plans)

I tried this mod, but ended up installing larger mirrors in same spot as factory mirrors instead. Aperantly, the large chunk of metal screwed on at the end helps reduce vibrations in the handlebar. When I removed it for the bar end mirrors, I found my hands getting numb more. Putting that metal piece back on the handle bar made vibration go down. Thanks for all the videos, very useful over all!

I figured I was a mix just wasn't 100% sure. Willow and I have been going on practice rides pretty regularly so I should be able to get my endorsement no problem. The online classes I have to take to get it have a lot of stuff I never thought of so that helps too... Got plenty of content coming up so stay tuned.

I just got these same mirrors. Just tried once to adjust them, but i had no idea they would need some kind of gluing to lock the position. But i think they are awesome

Did you use blue or red loctite on the threads? My first impression they do tend to flop unless I tighten them almost to the point of thread stripping!

The screw on one of my mirrors snapped off in the socket when I tried to remove it. It was on the right side, with the master cylinder. I had to get a whole new handle assembly.

Inspiring review!! Motivated me to likewise make my first mod on my new Vitpilen 401. The HSQV bar end mirrors are well worth the price! I can see clearly ( behind me ) now. Would it be possible to share on how to adjust the `Ball joint, for flexible adjustment ...` ? Been a relative newbie to art of motorcycle self maintenance - I felt like this was not clearly explained in the manuactuar's installation manual

Hi Grant! Huge thanks for the donation! I went through several mirrors and ultimately ended back with the oem mirrors but added 20 degrees of additional bend to them. I am not certain what you mean by ball joint adjustment but I would be happy to help if you clarified the request a bit. Thanks for tuning in!

Does your throttle not stick when you install the mirror against it like that? Isn’t it flush against the throttle?

I saw the Husky brand ones too but these got good reviews so I ordered them. I may change my mind though, who knows...

@@SeanFillner the Husky ones are Pricey so that is a knock against them. But some of the other ones i saw they wanted you to cut down the throttle grip..or buy their barends..etc etc. I figured. Its Husqvarna so its gonna fit and work with no modification. Buy Once , Cry Once right hahaha

Which version of those mirrors do you have? I checked out the link and there’s 2 different ones to choose from.. The 801-0028 or the 801-0378.. I want the ones you have, I have the 2020 svartpilen as well.
