Thank you for the real world review from an industry perspective. Do you have any recommendations on how to reduce the vibrations at all? Also do you think the heated handles model is worth the extra money? TIA

@@altarbltd2514 most vibration comes from the clutch. The sp11g chain and bar reduce some vibrations though, smoother in the cut

Thanks for posting this. From what I can gather it's just a T540i with a clutch so how it generates more power I don't get - smoother I can understand but more torque? It seems a backward step to me losing the direct power from the motor, surely the bogging down issue could be handled electronically. They were talking about a battery upgrade but it seems to be sold with the BLi200X at present - is this what you are using here? One thing that bugs me with both my T50i's is they can every so often hesitate when you hit the throttle i.e the chain doesn't hook up and go immediately. I think this is a throttle sensor issue but no big deal..

More torque is possible because of the gentle startup with a clutch. If you would apply it directly into chain and bar without a clutch, they would get ripped apart. I'm not to happy with the 542 I got. I am mainly pruning with these saws, the vibration in the 542 would damage the hands with full days of work. Hopefully they'll fix this soon. I really like the concept.

About the hesitation... it almost seems like it cannot choose between running forward or backwards.... I've heard of some occurrences where they would do that. Very strange....

And yes, I am using it with the 200x. I asked about the new batteries. Expectation is that they will arrive somewhere third quarter of 2024.....

@@DUTCHHUSKY66Treesandforest So is this a more powerful/tweaked motor compared to the 540i? I don't know because Husky are not clear about this. I don't agree a bar/chain will rip apart - think about a 20" bar/chain on a husky 572xp petrol saw with massive torque, you can run this but the chain will stretch and need constant adjustment.

How does the power compare to the 540i?
@DUTCHHUSKY66Treesandforest Жыл бұрын
There is some more torque. So somewhat stronger, but I did not find it a huge world of difference.

@@DUTCHHUSKY66Treesandforest Thanks for the reply! I have a 540i and trying to decide if It’s worth upgrading.

@@inlinesix1187 my pleasure mate. If you prune a lot, stay with your 540, if you take down trees a lot, it might be worth upgrading. For pruning long days on end, I think the 542 vibrates too much. The 540i, especially with the sp11g bar and chain is hard to beat for pruning.
