Husqvarna trimmer won't run after spark plug change

If your equipment won't run after a spark plug change, or is running poorly make sure you are using the correct spark plug.

THANK YOU for this video! My 125L Husqvarna needed a new carb so I got one of the kits from eBay...plus knowing that the default Hipa plug is garbage, got an NGK plug. First it wouldn't start. Then it would start, run for a few seconds, and die. Got out the inline spark plug tester, and it ran great. Took off the spark plug tester and same problem. LONG STORY SHORT: I accidentally installed the GARBAGE HIPA PLUG instead of the NGK! With it running okay with the plug tester inline, I know it was something funky, but never thought it would be the plug!

I wish they would stop selling the aftermarket kits with the spark plug.

@@autohelix Or include a quality Champion or NGK plug, assuming NGK do okay - my old Champion is back in the trimmer so I have yet to try the NGK. I tossed the Hipa into the trash. I should have tossed it in the trash the minute I got it!

I ran into this exact problem with a new spark plug replacement from Amazon. It was Bullworks and the spark plug was a "Hipa BPM7C". My Husqvarna 128LD would start and run for a couple seconds but then it would quit. I put the old Champion spark plug back in the trimmer after watching this video and it stayed on. Your video saved me a lot of time and "trimmer French" trying to get it to run. Many thanks!

Same problem after tune up. After going over everything again, I decided to buy a new spark only this time. I replaced it with a new Champion RCJ-8Y. This is what I took out originally. It worked great. A small engine mechanic told me he always uses R plugs.

Makes you wonder how many of these get thrown in the trash over a spark plug.

Should've done it with an e3 too it seems like with the tri fire diamond fire whatever the hell the call there technology burns fuel much easier and makes for tuning carbs a lot easier too I swear plugs make a difference
