Great video, my gap on my f150 is .052. Its impossible to find a feeler gauge or wire gauge with this thickness, is there any trick to this?

You combine feeler gauge thicknesses until you get your desired measurement that you wish to check.

The first one is a wire gap tool and they do have 2 or 3 different ones with different sizes of the same tool on those..i should have em all linked in the description

Hi have you ever got new plugs that are pre-gapped and they were way off the correct gap? I just got some NGK and they are meant to be pre-gapped to 1.5mm but the gap is much larger than that. It looks like I will need to correct the gaps in them.

Hi, normally not way off, just slightly off ive had a few that were closed completely probably was dropped...on gm trucks they used to have a .060 and if u get the original plug itll come in a .060 that will need to be readjusted to a .040 cause of a service bulletin..maybe something similar to that happened

I just got NGK Iridium plugs that are supposed to be pre-gapped to 0.044 inch but the gap is only 0.036-0.037 inch when I measure them.

With your permission, I'd like to comment on how I feel about adjusting the mass electrode. I'm afraid that adjusting the curve of the mass electrode will weaken it. It could break and fall into the engine. If I need to adjust it, I'll buy new spark plugs and check the gap before taking them in.
