The bobbin case has a cutter if you move it to the left it will cut. No scissors needed.

I have a question has it happend to u when the bobbin breaks and the hoop shifts is there a way to recalibrate it without turning it off mid sewing?

Thank you so much. I have a sapphire sewing that I have basically "used up". I have a brother innovis embroidery machine. I'm considering selling it and getting this sapphire. Can you use the embroidery arm when not embroidering, and just have a sew steady or plain extension table, or does the embroidery arm have to stay on all the time.?

Nancy you don’t have to remove the embroidery arm while you just sew. I rarely remove mine. It’s a great machine, you’ll love it
