How does a 3 carbon go back to being the 5 carbon R1,5 bP????
@tfyouneutrallittlebody47513 жыл бұрын
A 3 Carbon atom chain is called a PGA. With a hydrogen atom affixed to it it's called a G3P. If you think of the Calvin cycle as 6 units working simultaneously, we have 6 Carbon atoms from each unit and 30 more too from the RuBPs (cause 1 RuBP = 5 carbons) there are 36 carbon atoms. Out of those we only need 6 for glucose, then we have 30 to spare. Think about the 6 units. Each unit's RuBP needs to be recreated in order for the cycle to continue. So we need 5 carbons in all the 6 units to recreate the RuBC which is 30 carbons in total, which is exactly how many we've got left after making the glucose

For the formation of glucose,6 carbons are required. Single cycle gives triose phosphate which have 3carbons. So it needs 2cycles to produce glucose. But why here it says that for the formation of glucose 6cylces of calvin cylce are required ? I didn’t get sir ! Can you please help me out ?

I have a question ? One of my friends was saying that the plants produce ATP and NADPH in light reactions and plants can make these two compounds without the dark reactions. It is pretty obvious that the products of light reactions are utilized in dark reactions for glucose formation and dark reactions depend on light reactions. So, Does light reaction also depend on dark reactions ? Can plants make ATP and NADPH without the dark reactions ??
