Hussitenfest in Bernau - festival of fire and adventure

In 1432, the Hussites stood in front of Bernau during a campaign against the March of Brandenburg, but did not take the city. There were thanksgiving processes to thank God, and later the victory over the Hussites was celebrated with parades and folk festivals.
Hussitenfest is celebrated every year on the 2nd weekend in June, and the residents of Bernau bei Berlin have enjoyed a colorful, happy Hussite festival with a parade and subsequent fair in the city park with rides, food and good conversations in sunny weather.
