What tools you need to start your Amazon FBA business

I also try and talk about any free option out there for those starting with a super small budget. The tools we talk about here are all things we are currently using in our business. If/when we find better tools for certain jobs, we will add new links here.
As always - Make sure that your sunk cost for tools doesn't overshadow the inventory that you are trying to flip. It doesn't matter how fast or effectively you can source if you don't have any money to actually buy your inventory :)

Free boxes at USPS. All varieties of sizes and can send to your home.

Yup! For FBM that's what you need. For FBA you can get them from a dumpster as you'll need MUCH bigger boxes and you can't send usps FBA shipments.

You can also get free boxes from USPS.

Yes. You can get free stickey paper from ups so you don't even need to tape it to the box.

How do you make the labels print the right way? I've tried changing the size of the label on the rollo printer preferences and orientation and they are printing sideways. Please help. The FAQs on the Amazon label link says they aren't supported by rollo.

If it is supported by a Dymo it is supported by a Rollo. Reach out to Rollo customer service and they should be able to help with tech issues like that

They don't do the same thing at all. JS is worthless garbage imo. It's also only a tool for PL sellers and not applicable to arbitrage sellers.

I used the profit calculator and products under $10 have to be free to the seller to make at least $1 of profit per unit. Which for the money isn’t really worth the work.

For 1 or two things it's fine. As you scale you will be doing most of this on your computer. You will also not be listing things through seller central but through Inventory Lab as you grow.

Do you manually label all of your products? Even if amazon says you don’t need them? I listed about 25 products and it said I only needed to print out labels for 10 of them and the existing barcode was fine for the others

There's 3 options with labeling: 1) I label everything 2) Amazon Labels everything 3) I "commingle" what I can (no label, but instead Amazon uses the barcode), and one of us labels the items not eligible for this.
