Cool machines. I got a question though. Does the wrinkle bend decrease a vehicle horsepower performance? I heard that mandrel/straight bends are better and add more horsepower than wrinkle bends. Is that true!?!?

There is more to it than just the tube bend style. What components are being used? How is the system designed? The other components may have already limited the power to the system. If there is a slight loss in power due to a bend it would be countered by moving up a pipe size. One of the biggest benefits to our equipment is the investment needed to create a system. The larger the tube the thicker the tube must be to keep it from collapsing. Other factors also come into play like the age of the tube, the alloy as the video shows, ie CR. stainless, AKDQ, AKDDQ. Die alignment, lube, and backpressure also play a big role in bend quality.
