Huug Meyvogel was the pantry boy on board of "De Hoop" , a ship used for Sunday services by the Dutch fishermen and as hospital for wounded fishermen or other sailors. Huug was not a trained soprano, just a hardworking boy aboard, but had a nice clear, but untrained voice.
The captain of the hospital-chapel ship 'De Hoop' plays the organ on this record and the cabin boy Huug Meyvogel sings mostly hymns. Recorded onboard December, 1967.
