some people might say you're a bit weird for the comment about getting emotional at maia being good on the trip, but i honestly think that's such an endearing thing. it shows that you genuinely view her as a daughter imo, and not just a pet. i don't think i've ever really seen someone so emotionally attached to their pet to be proud of such a thing in the way that you are. it wasn't a "oh she didn't cause US trouble" but "SHE enjoyed herself and SHE did well." she's such a lucky pup to have you as her companion and i can just tell that you would be such a good father whenever you decide to have children.
