A special thank you to Lake Technical Community College!
They allowed me to film on site at their facility. They allowed me to participate in the apprentice program night class.
Also a special thank you my friend Bryan Orr for filming and helping with so much more threw the years.
Also Thanks to Bert Life for his great assistance in class.

This setup should be mandatory and available in every HVAC-R class across the world. Since 1996 I wondered why the hell don’t we have clear tubing available to show the evaporation and condensation vapor/fluid flow characteristics. Well done. 🔧 ☀️ ❄️

@@love2hvac That is stupid expensive! What are they using for transparent tubing? Is it glass? Some type of special lexan tubing?

You should do this video again because the demonstration tool was great but it was explained really fast as if it's something obvious.

I have an older model of this machine in our training area. It has R11 in it. Over the years we have had trouble with leaks. I have talked to the factory about this and they say that all of the brass connections need to be torqued to a spec after each use. You obviously have a newer model so I hope you don't have the same problem. I enjoy all of your videos Ty. Thank You!

Oh this is certainly not mine. Bryan and the school was gracious to let me play with it. I think there is better things to spend money on. An R11 unit, that would be cool to see. Torqued after every use, that seems like a lot of work. Sometimes just getting the tools put back before class is done is a chore. I saw a guy in Australia that used propane, it would not be so good for school but I think I will make one for videos. Where is your school at?

Now, this here is the real supercool! I only wish the tubes were made out of Lexan or some similar-strength polymer, so we could see the usual pressures. Maybe of an R-32 or of something with even lower operating pressure. 😍

These are incredibly expensive. Like more than my first house expensive. I've been teaching for over 10 years and this is the first one I got to play with. I was a bit disappointed. I need to build my own.

Very cool video. Nice training unit. Would be neat to see it work with the low side float working and how the refrigerant moves in the low side float. Thanks for the video

When I get back to Florida I will record that. I did not have much time to play with it. I would also like to do some videos showing how problems affect the refrigerant such air airflow restrictions and so on. I did get the receiver and that will be coming up soon

Hello. I have a quick question. I am currently working on making a refrigeration system with clear pipes myself. I wanna use it to educate trainees and interns here at the company I work at. What material are the clear pipes in this video? I have seen glass evaporators used before but I was hoping to find an alternative in plastic pipes to avoid having to custom order a solid glass pipe.

When we cut the line in any place we can see some oil in it and that’s mean a little amount of oil continuously circulating around the system. Is that right Mr.Ty?Thank you.🌸
