I don’t mean to be rude but the caps should be off on the service valves since they are an area prone to leak due to poor brazing practices by dumb and lazy technicians/installers! Treat them accordingly! Suspect everything,trust no one!

I hear you and agree. The vast majority of the valves leak. I recommend the threads be sealed with nylog as it stops the majority of those leaks. (Not on the valve core caps)
