The realism in this video is great and very practical. Most novice viewers like myself need lots of practice under various challenging scenarios. I would teach students this way to prepare them for the real world if I were a teacher.

I own the same carrier condensing unit that you show in this video. I bought a new compressor and cut mine out just as you did. The real challenge now is fitting the copper tubing and bending pipes for the new compressor. The original is obsolete and not available but they sold me a suitable replacement that is similar, but the hookups for both the low and high sides come out at different angles and different positions from the original. Therefore I will need to practice my tube bending skills and find fittings that will get them re-routed. I'm thinking that I can get a few solder/braze joints with the compressor out, so I won't have to bend down so low inside the unit, then finish the top joints with the compressor bolted in. heating that copper line…. Your heat needs to be redirected to about 1” lower where the actual joint is, if it doesnt come out with a light tug, your not getting the heat either high enough or in the right place. That twisting motion will shear the tubing especially in its softened state

hey shadowrider I'd sure like to know how your cars are doing do you still got the Roadmaster do you still got the Grand Marquis with your Grandpa's engine in there you still got the old Lincoln the 74 I believe
