You should never loosen the lug nuts when the truck is sitting on the ground. Because with all that pressure, it can bend the metal piece they screw onto. But other than that thank you so much that was super helpful!

How difficult would it be to just do the lower radiator hose with an oil cooler? I am hoping to just replace that hose from underneath.

I would think the fact that your key wouldn’t automatically return to the run position would be an indicator the problem was with the actuator mechanism. Of course, I am making this comment prematurely before watching the entire video. We’ll see how that works out for me 😅😂

Thank goodness for KZbin, I just bought a "87" F-250 and took it to Meinke Muffler for a free inspection & they quoted me $401.65 to replace the spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor & wireset... No thanks

Installing all stainless steel brake lines on my 1992 F250, and the bleeder screws are basically impossible to remove. Hard to apply heat very much....because of the rubber on both the wheel cylinders and the calipers. Don't want to damage that rubber. In the end, I ended up buying new wheel cylinders and calipers....which are really not pricey from RockAuto. Renews the whole brake system, except master cylinder, which isn't too old. Tomorrow, I have to see if I can move the brake bleeder screw on the rear abs unit. Hope I have luck on that one. I might have to bleed without doing the ABS, and then use an alternative way to get the air out of that unit. Would be nice if that bleeder screw loosens...lol.

The other day, I drove my 1988 420 SEL in very hot weather and parked it in the sun for about 40 minutes. When I went to start it, the car wouldn’t crank or make any noise when I turned the key. The accessories were working fine, and the battery is brand new. After an hour, it started as usual. What could be the issue, and is there a video about it? Thanks for the videos.

I'm wildly late to this video, but I'd like to offer my thanks too! This is by far the most informative info I've found on this engine, it's truly excellent. Just as a bit of additional information, you can't 'clock' the distributor cap incorrectly, the screws holding it down are unevenly spaced around the edge. It will only fit in one (the correct) position. Terrific content, thanks again!

One thing I would’ve suggested is to remove the spindle to clean up and grease the spindle bearing that rides on the axle since the grease already looked fairly old. Really well put together video

Great job, however you should never, ever use the same gasket nor the same thermostat, once they've been taken off, it's weakned you can can see how their is rubber o ring seal has reminense particles stripped stuck on the housing assembly, it will leak, unexpectedly, always REPLACE IT, NO MATTER WHAT, SAME THING WITH THE THEMOSTAT, ONCE ITS OFF THE THERMOSTAT WILL FAIL UNEXPECTEDLY, IT CAN MAKE YOUR ENGINE HEATER NOT HEAT UP LIKE IT SHOULD OR IT CAN STICK SHUT AND OVER HEAT YOUR ENGINE, SO ALWAYS, ALWAYS, REPLACE IT AS WELL, NEVER USE THE SAME ONE. 💪👌👍😉

I just bought a Schumacher model SC 1445 manual battery charger. I didn't like the amp meter on the unit, the only two numbers (as far as amp output) was 0 and 60. I replace the amp meter with a " real " amp meter. As I examined the inside of the unit I found out how haphazardly they assembled it. Two rectifier diodes were touching together. I also removed the stupid timer and replaced it with a heavy duty toggle switch. I also found rust on the inside walls of the metal cabinet. The cooling fan was a cheap brushless .17 amp 12 volt fan that looked like it came out of a computer power supply and it didn't move very much air. To sum up, the charger was made from Chinese junk parts assembled in Mexico. No way am I going to hook this charger up to my truck to jump start it and fry my electronics.

Hi…i have a question and the Same Problem Like you. I have no spark out of the coil on my 560sec. I diagnosised the crank shaft position sensor but now I’m a bit confused. My old sensor I took out and it shows me the same as yours between 0.800-0.960 megaohms…your old one shows the same…but when u put your new one in it shows aswell 0.860 mega ohms so how do I know mine is bad? Thanks

Are you still getting/reading comments on this AC recharge, all these years later ??? You did a really pro job on this... I'm wondering where you are located ? I got to replace the high side valve on my 1996 F-350... ha ..... Not to mention pro equipment to do the job with.... Its my understanding that you can now replace the ball high side valve with a schrader type valve... Which gives you the option to replace the valve core under pressure....

I have found your videos very informative. I was give a similar unit, a Schumacher se-4225. I doesn't have the six volt capability. The timer switch was bad and I have replaced it, however someone had been inside it before and some of the wires we left handing....and I cannot find a print anywhere. Any ideas? My rectafiers were all good as well as everything else. So the time switch and the selector switch are the same but I beliece our transformer to be different and the selector switch wired differently. Any help is appreciate. Thanks again.🤨
