HVAC Drain Line Solutions: Say Goodbye to ZOOGLOEA

Returned to a job where I had previously quoted the re routing of a drain line. The issue here in Florida is that the drain lines run  underground, and in order to run a new one you would have to pull it and cut the platform and push the new one back through. It’s not always the easiest task.
So spoke it over with the homeowner and stated to him that we would route the drain line in the front of the platform behind the water heater and out through the sidewall. Which we were able to do re-insulated it and secured the drain line. Hopefully the stops the customers waterline issues from backing up and flooding their garage.

It’s quite a problem 🤦‍♂️ and older homes it’s ran in Polly pipe, similar to sprinkle lines, it’s terrible!!

I did send an estimate for pump as well, they opted for drain line, more cost effective

@@KoolinwithKrauss a pump is no more than $100 because all you need is one and tie both units in with a tee fitting, I would have told the customer the labor would come up to the same price.

@@glglmike7177 pumps are last resorts in Florida, I’ve done only one because there was no other option, a true dedicated drain line is best here with all the humidity and bacteria
