Hey Zach, which control would you recommend as a delay for a 24vac system. Example would be to place it inline before the contactor to prevent short cycling by a home owner turning the thermostat up and down rapidly.

Just put in a stat with a five min delay built in. Most of the new digital already have that option.

You can use one of the cheap 2wire delay but it has to be hooked directly to contactor not to a input of control board it won't work.

PHC Apprentice​ either of those suggestions will work well. You could also use a device like the ICM 492 to give you a time delay when power is cut to the condenser as well.

Anyone know how to use an on-delay timer as an off delay timer? I only have an on delay timer and NOT an off delay timer. I need to run a second fan for some time after the call for heat ends and shuts off the first fan. Both of the fans have to start at the same time.

You need this on becon 2 systems so you dont trip lp switch and get locked out on start up in cold ambient before the system can build pressure

Zack HVAC yeah in the residential world i dont think i have ever used one thanks for posting the ideas though could be useful in a very low ambient situation on an a/c but usually the low pressure cut out setting is sooo low i dont find it an issue anyways
