How long does it take to be self employed? What are the pros and cons?
@michaelmead58804 жыл бұрын
All comes down to how much you want to work. Being self employed is stressful but it comes with advantages and disadvantages. There are days where I can’t enjoy my time with my new born son because I’m constantly thinking about billing, collecting payments, quotes, bills, who I need to pay, marketing, warranty work, call backs, supplies being wrong, taxes and the list goes on. If you like to be on the go all the time and constantly think about work and how to keep going, self employed is the way to go. If you like to turn your phone off when you get home after your 8 hour day then I suggest staying there.

Dragging and turning a $5000 unit on the ground like that-glad I wasn’t the customer because that would have upset me greatly. Hopefully it has some type of protection on the bottom but even still I wouldn’t have been happy if I saw that. Otherwise, the install looked great!!

I’ve been doing the same thing lately on the last couple changeouts as far as leaving the condenser in place so I can trickle nitro as I’m doing the air handler. Saves the time of sweating on a service gauge port on the line set. Nice work as always man!

Great install! Only thing i don't like and wouldnt do is weld the dryer inside first. The desiccant material inside the dryer will be saturated by the time you cut the old condenser out, unbox the new one, place it, pipe it and weld it up. Better practice to make the dryer last in your hookup. But you do pretty work👍 looks good, cheers

Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzbin.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

Big change, but a much needed one and I'm very excited to embark on this new journey. My question for anyone out there is... what is the best way to get started? Should I be looking at Tech Schools/Classes as a first step? Or would a Union pay for something like that? Appreciate any insight! - Stefan
