This happens when you tell the client you need an access the entire length of the unit and they choose to go with form over function🤐 its never a problem until there's problem 🤦🏽

Great video JMT! Yes they’ll probably let out a huge sigh of relief that JMT has fixed the problem. But them you tell them:”Wait a minute we need to cut out that access panel, order a new pan and drain pump.” Then the facilities manager turns his back to go to lunch 😮🎉🎉🎉

The real issue is that the blower was sucking up the water from the pan due to filter being plugged and dirty coil.

I use to have 36 Trane FCU on the 6 th floor of the Hospital. Some idiot who installed them left the filters out of half of them and left no access to change the ones with filters. I was one hvac technician only in the house. I did 22 of them and hired a guy like you to help me out. We had to remove the blower s and clean them and clean out the coils. We installed flexible duct to return filter grilles. What A nightmare.

The pump gets constant 208v when unit is in cooling. The float is an alarm to tell the unit to stop running when the water level gets too high

Man I hate those tight space calls, hey brotha great work as always. If you ever have that issue again or more like it, I highly recommend using the red hardcast stick foil tape. That shit can seal anything and good luck getting it off. You planned on coming back so maybe it would have been a bitch to get off to do your repairs but next time give that a shot it will definitely seal and you'll only have to lay down one strip over that nasty cover

That panel you think that broken has nothing to do with the water leak. That pump runs constantly. Also that access door where the pump is that’s where you take the pump out from just disconnect the terminals and pull the wires thru.
