How did you do?

A VAV Box controls temperature in many cases (cooling, typically) as a function of airflow, modulated by the box airflow damper. So an additional input refered to as a flow ring is really the differential pressure across the ring extrapolated to flow (sq root) for the purposes of a soft PID loop looking at flow and controling to a defined setpoint via the damper motor. This was not pointed out by the instructor, and air flow was pretty much ignored.

42:00 There are many network topology used in industry , to clarify, I'm gonna talk about only 2 of them that are related to this topic. 1. Daisy chain: Can be either linear ( wired in sequenced ) or it can be ring ( the last devices is connected back to the first device). The difference between the two is that In case of a single component failure in a linear daisy chain, the network WILL FAIL! , while in ring topology it is still possible for the transmission to go in reverse direction. 2. The topology in 45:15 cannot be called daisy chain, It is called "Multi-drop", "trunk & cable" or " bus". This topology is suitable to maintain its connectivity in multi-failure scenario as you stated, it is just NOT daisy chain.

Daisy chain is a slang term used for wiring electrical devices and circuits in PARALELL, anything else is considered a circuit or device wired in SERIES. So, yes, he can call the topology of 45:15 a Daisy Chain.

Hi, Thanks for sharing this video, I am Jolly from Philippines and currently taking up BS Electrical Engineering. And part of my education requirement, I need to make a Thesis. I have a background and experienced in operating BAS here my current work. but don't have in depth knowledge regarding BAS, DDC, installation set up,field control and how its hardware and software works in the Building. My propose Thesis topic is about the New User Interface and Integration of BAS in our company. Kindly help me any links or information where i can gathered data to make my Thesis feasible. I'm looking forward for your great help to make my dreams as BS Electrical Engineering. God bless!!

what is the difference between a PLC and a ddc?
@patrickjones74344 жыл бұрын
Abhijit Shetty plc stands. For programming logic controller and ddc stands for direct digital controller . The website called building automation monthly
@trulyhumane15914 жыл бұрын
Literally there is no difference because both are programmable logic controllers based on microprocessors but DDC is especially developed for Building Control applications. The DDCs have well defined libraries of functional blocks that makes their programming much easier as compared to the PLCs which are generally used across all applications.

Not sure why not too use proper word to describe how to connect controllers it's simply - wire it in parallel.
@rlukinn5 жыл бұрын
You are right, but here is not exactly parallel. Daisy chain connection is slightly different.
