Something every homeowner should do on their own. Buy a couple aerosol cans of cleaner from a big box store, cheap maintenance for a outside unit.

Used hundreds of gallons of Tri-Power over the years. Works great in factories situations where there is oil/grease in the air. Also used on regular customers coils that I kept clean after 1st visit. If it's super impacted use a standard cleaner (not micro) as foam helps push it out.

Better show that client how to replace filters. No need for an evaporator coil to get that dirty. Nice job Curtis.👍👍🇨🇦

We are a Rheem dealer in NC, and obviously we service a lot of pkg units. We use the Tri-Power HD for all of our coil cleanings. I like it because it can do both the regular and the micro channel coils. I use water on the micro channels, but sometimes the cleaner has to be used to get the embedded dirt out.

That stuff worked great. Should have used that little you had left on the evaporator. Hind sight is 20/20. It turned out really good. I had some coil cleaner for the evaporator (the foam stuff) and I used what was left over on the condenser. Anyone that hasn't cleaned their coils in a while really should do it with all this heat going on. The more air you can get flowing through those coils the better. I have used action degreaser with great success. Last time I mixed up some dawn in a spray bottle and it worked great. Even if you just spray it out with the hose, beats doing nothing. Don't bend up the fins, for crying out loud. It is amazing the difference in efficiency after you do it.

Sometimes after washing those micro channel coils the water will stick to it acting as a restriction which was probably why you had about 390 at the start. Enjoy the videos Curtis

Looked like there was a bunch of debris on the bottom inside the condenser coil. Why not vacuum that stuff up first before you clean the coil?
@franciscoflores2718 Жыл бұрын
Well that's not what's causing the high pressure, it's a dirty coil. And this looks to be a warranty company call where Curtis doesn't make much on profit with those kinda jobs. He wanted to get in and out.

How do I now if my AC unit is a micro coil?
@chandlervoit4630 Жыл бұрын
On a micro channel I always blow out the water. It locks the water in and increases the head pressure. Doesn’t dry like a normal coil.
@Chainsaw60010 ай бұрын
I cleaned a York micro the other day with the same stuff you used. Man was it dirty. It’s interesting that York states NOT to use any cleaners. Water only. That wouldn’t have touched the unit I cleaned. Full of grease, dirt, grass and all kinds of crap.
