Thanks very much for going through this procedure for us all, I have just stripped my rifle down and give it the full HW100Tuning treatment, my rifle is now back to its former glory, powerful & accurate. It took me most of the day, but your video helped enormously. Once more, many thanks.

Nice one Jake, I really enjoyed that. Good old German solid state engineering! The design certainly has stood the test of time, and I have no doubt your improvements will make it a much better rifle all round.

On the later HW100 the anti tamper can be removed by drilling with a 7mm drill bit inside the lock tighten adjuster to clear the riveted over end of the hammer spring guide. Then when removed heat the adjuster to free off the lock tight. No heat damage to the spring this way. The old adjuster can be refitted with a cut in screw driver slot or the spring shaft shortened to about 9mm on the hammer so a new adjuster with the Allen key slot could be used.

Is it recommended that you're better off to fire off a HW100, now and then, rather then leave it sitting for half the year, to prevent the hammer spring from compressing a bit, or the regulator settled down, due to lack of use? or does it not make much difference if its fired regularly or not? How regularly should a PCP like the HW100 be fired to keep everything stable/power from dropping? Fabulous informative video, dunno how you can remember where everything goes! 🤪

Great video. I've recently Chronographed my HW100 to find that it's lost a bit of power from last year. She's now down to 10.5 ft lbs from 11.4. The gun has no leaking etc.
@sub12airgunners3 жыл бұрын
The hammer spring has probably compressed a bit, or the reg has settled down, neither are uncommon in rifles that have been sitting for a while, I would recommend contacting HW100 tuning if you want your rifle serviced, he knows the HW100 better then anyone. Thanks for watching.

Hello Happy Me. My 2 1/2 year old Hw100KT has done just like yours but power is down to 8.3 ft/lb . My gun also has no leaks. Have you solved your problem and if so would you kindly explain to me how it was rectified . I will shortly be taking it to my gunsmith and your help will be greatly appreciated. John Bonnici.

@@johnbonnici8048 My Gunsmith disabled the anti tamper so I adjusted it myself with a chronograph. It's running at 11.5/6 now. I don't use the gun often as I love my TX200 but I've been told to let off a few shots every now and then otherwise the power will drop again.!
@johnbonnici80482 жыл бұрын
@@Happy-Me. Thank you for your attention and reply. I'will point this out to my gunsmith. My gun reduced power even though I shoot it almost daily . Did you do any other adjustments apart from the hammer spring tension eg. Regulator pressure and O'ring replacement?

Hi. A great video of the strip down. However, unfortunately I’ve managed to lose the spring and larger ball bearing that goes into the indexing assembly. Is it possible to give me the sizes of these two parts or a part number so I can replace them please? Also while I had it all apart I decided to soak the hammer housing in degreaser but it has reacted with the surface leaving a white powdery film. I’ve tried lightly rubbing with steel wool to some improvement. Any suggestions as to how I can recover the shiny finish? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Hi. Regarding the bottle adapter. Is that a dr.bob’s version? From the pics on eBay his has a male thread into the bottle. Which means no valve. Is this correct? Cheers

no this one is a different one not dr bobs one but i don't think they are available anymore so you have to use the dr bob adaptor😀

Really, that placement of gauge and plug destroyed the aesthetic. Why didn't they move it down under the stock?
@sub12airgunners3 жыл бұрын
Don't know for sure, but if they were both in the bottom it would push the bottle out a little further, or most people have rails fitted so having the fill port and gauge on the bottom would limit the amount of pic rail you could mount on the bottom. Thanks for watching.
@secondfirstsecond3 жыл бұрын
@@sub12airgunners Ive seen one with plug at the bottom and gauge on the right side, fit nicely.

Not a fan of the HW100? me neither to be honest, the 2 piece block is a bit off putting and the use of cast components doe not sit well with me, but saying that I was surprised at how well everything fit and it was nicely finished, just not my cup of tea. Thanks for watching.
