I remember first playing Hwang as a teenager, and I was still unhappy with my life, and started to help people around because of that selfless video game character heroes I liked to play, and Hwang was on of the most important one who inspired me. It was so sad to see him disapear for almost 15years and I wasn't able to help him return in this game. After years of asking him, we finally made it, thanks you all, you made it possible, the Hero of Korea has rebirthed! Thanks you Project Soul! I hope to see also Yun-Seong come back!

Assassin and CAS Hwang in SC3 do not fucking count. 22 years to get my favorite soulcalibur character back. And this trailer made it all worthwhile. Easily the sickest character in the game right now.

Well that was an emotional ride! 😅 I already said it on Twitter but I'll say it again here: when Hilde was released I was nearly at the point of tears as well, and I only didn't have her for a season of SCVI, you haven't had Hwang since SC I!!! Don't worry, I cried too, lol. I am even surprised of me because Hwang is my 4th favorite character (first Amy/Viola, then Zasalamel and Seong Mina) I was so hyped when the three of them were revealed, especially with Amy's confirmation of being Viola (which I never doubted), but wow, the hype and emotion I got with Hwang was...I cannot even describe it, I never felt this hyped or excited before for a DLC, I don't know if is because Hwang was absent for a long time, and the way they brought him back here was amazing, they made justice to the character for completely.

my god it has been really long since Hwang was fully playable (the last time was PS2 SC3 as an extra). loving his new style already. glad to see he is revamped into a magic swordsman. that means now we have a potential to have a Cassandra - Sophitia or Kilik - MiNa situation with Hwang and YunSeong. hopefully we can get the entire classic Soul Blade roster back. i miss Li Long.
