Long story short, There are two HwasaS. One is black haired and other is Red haired. The black haired is the one who is shown in a psych ward, the pencils symbolise malicious comments. That is where the stories split, when she hears music she tries to escape. After escaping later a scene shows her head under water, that is where the Transformation takes place. The alter ego, Red haired Maria, a Stronger hwasa takes over. While the Black haired Maria is dead, the black haired Maria CHOOSES death(that's what she said) under all the pressure, hate and negativity. Ironically, no-one shows up to Black haired Hwasa's funeral after all these times of continuous observation and criticism. The cigarette scene is from movie "Maléna". The Woman Maléna in the movie is constantly judged and belittled by the society, esp women out of jealousy. And ultimately later in the movie she decides to change herself to fit in. This symbolises w Hwasa's situation too. Hwasa is constantly criticised, targeted, and judged for her non-stereotypical appearance and choices. At some point, she also wanted to become fairer, you noticed the milk in the bathtub..that symbolises Old Hwasa's wants to become fairer, prettier, skinny. But when the Red Haired Hwasa Takes over, it changes to blood. Most probably to show how the old Hwasa died or her old Point Of View and Thoughts changed. Lastly, your "Katy-perry" scenes...the choice of food was bloody bc that Disgusts people the same way Hwasa's performance choices and Appearance Disgusts Malicious commenters. Then She serves them Blindfolded to say how sometimes people hate on Something or someone by just judging by the looks of it. And they might like the music if they didn't know it was Hwasa's...for example if the same song is dubbed by Balckpink or Twice...they will cheer the shit out of it. Hence Lack of appreciation of Talent. Red haired Hwasa is also seen smiling and Kinda eating something from the table...that means she don't give a fuck bout other people's opinions sitting across the table. The Red Haired Maria is a Hwasa w The support of her girl group Members. In the last scene, when she decides to commit suicide, the members show up and interrupt the moment. The love and support from her fellow members save her.
