What's "toploader"?

A toploader is the plastic rectangle. They are for storing trading cards/sports cards or other flat things you'd like to keep safe. They are called toploaders because you slide the card in from the top.

The plastic toploader is used for protecting cards like baseball cards or even Pokémon/Yugioh cards. They can also protect small photos (Kpop fans put photos of their fav members in them) or anything else small and flat that fits inside (Like, Artist Trading Cards which are small card sized papers artist create art with). The whole purpose for plastic sleeves like this is to keep whatever is inside it in good condition. Sone Baseball and Pokémon cards can be very rare and worth a lot of money so a card protector like this keeps the card from getting damaged and losing value. These are called Toploaders because you insert cards from the top of the plastic casing. People got into decorating these kinds of card protectors in recent years as just a way to personalize them and make them look nice when you put your prized photo of your fav Kpop star inside them. 😊 I hope I explained this well for you. 💕
