This part contains the basic counter hit setups from jab strings, punishers and some common moves.
I’ve also included how to escape most of them, so even if you’re not a Hwoarang player it is recommended to get an idea of what to expect.

Hey man. Feedback: Awesome guide, I'm really glad someone did this. There is a lack of good intermediate-advance instructional videos for Hwoarang in English, only a huge ton of combo videos. Future video ideas: 1. Brief series, for every short video: pick a move, go into options after the move. There is actually a good example of a video like that already in an anti Hwoarang video about d3,4. 2. Make a video about Hwoarang vs hard opponents which force you to turtle. Hw neutral game is weak, hw mains cant handle these situations very well. 3. Video about Hw pokes, and his poking game. Most people just assume its all about that launch and juicy combo. (This is kinda similar to point no 2) 4. Video about Hwoarang backturn mixup (grabs+launch) 5. Video about Hwoarang grabs and setup into grabs (especially the qcb3, that is hard on pad) I mean I wouldn't expect much views on these, but they would be a great contribution. Anyways, to close this off: Hwoarang is epic. Haters gonna hate him. Tier lists are for dummies.

note: I tried out the command throw many times. It only works if we buffer and hold forward before the running 4 connects and hit 1+3 immediately.

is there any visual or audio queue i should look out for when conter hit confirming this string at @1:50 cause I've watched countless Hwoarang gameplay videos/streams and I still don't know when I should continue the string

it would be great if you can make more vids like this. I have a list by my self. of course. I'm just armature learning how to play him properly. I want to break things down in section. like how hwoarang should deal with certain of people's habit like. they love to duck or sit jab. it would go like first if you start offending with 1,2,3 LSF but opponent sit jab when hwoarang lift his leg up. we change it to 1,2,f+3 to teach him not to duck after 1,2 another scenario should be d+3,4 what if they try duck? I d+3,4,1 and Sidewalk and stuff like this on and on. it's like a "counter of a Hwoarang's counter strategy" lol. I don't know if there's any vids who already did about this or an article somewhere in the internet already. but I haven't found it yet. Sorry about my English but he way. not my native language.

Why does JFSR seem to be easier to input from RFF?

The window of doing it in RFF is longer. You can switch on the inputs and see.

Tarek Aljawi 1+2 Just has different inputs from stances, the one I showed is not in the movelist.
