Your delay trick just changed my HX world! Running 1 amp with stereo effects with that delay makes everything sound amazing! Great video!

Just got my HX Stomp and it's so much fun, I don't even care about how 'good' it sounds (I guess there are more powerful/better modellers?) but I'm just happy to have something that doesn't have a tonne of input lag (plugins) or a bunch of EMI noise (pedals + CabM) which plagued my previous setups. Just plug in and it sounds good, and it scratches my itch for tweaking and making new sounds. Didn't know you could parallel two amps and pan L/R with a delay off-set - very cool!

When you reach your peak DSP itll grey out the selections of stomp boxes and amovand cabs till you cant load anything, you'll know. Also theres a delay in dual cab mode setting in stereo you can do the delay thing w/o using up a block.
@HeyWorshipLeaderКүн бұрын
Yes! The updates have been great
@fabianvasquezjr88528 күн бұрын
You can do the same thing w/o using a delay block in the cab settings there's a delay setting about 0.5 makes a big difference in the stereo spread with dual cabs

Good video. I didn't think the HX Stomp had enough power to do that much. How do you know the amount of CPU you're using, is there some meter somewhere or at some point you just get a message saying you maxed out? Do you think you were almost maxed out there or you still had wiggle room? I'd like to do something like this but I'd put a TC MIMIQ Double in front and output two jacks in stereo.

Excelent video! What do you think about the HD600? Can you have a good sound? Just like the sound you hear in the amps? I have a HX Stomp and I'm looking for a good headphone to play at home. Thanks for your videos! I lean a lot from them! 🤘🏻
@HeyWorshipLeader Жыл бұрын
They are great...the only thing to be cautious about is using that a headphone out will have different pre-amps then the 1/4" outs...so there might be slight differences. Always best to monitor through as many monitors as you have. Studio monitors are great, FRFR even better
@Julius_Seizure3 жыл бұрын
How do the HD600’s sound with the HX Stomp? I take it the HX Stomp has a big headphone out amp to push those 300 ohm headphones? Your channel is great.
@HeyWorshipLeader3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words...yes...it is strong enough to push them...but I do keep the volume output around 80-90%

Great pre-set, hadn't built a dual amp one yet. Can't wait to try it. I had done changes on snap shots by the push and turn method, now seeing the right way to do it is cool.
@HeyWorshipLeader3 жыл бұрын
Honestly...sometimes things are easier on the Stomp itself instead of HX Edit...I found that assigning a foot switch is so much faster by just touching the switch...I love doing that! But that push and turn method can be tricky...but it gets the job done!

This is great!! I also just finished watching your video explaining how to use the FX loop, which allowed me to put my DD-500 in the chain. My question after watching this is, how would I go about basically combining the teachings of that video + this one, aka implementing the DD-500 in the stereo fx loop with a dual amp preset?

I’m as far from a worshiper as you can get, but I love your channel. You must’ve doing something right. You should have 10x the subs you have, imo!
@HeyWorshipLeader3 жыл бұрын
Wow, thank you so much! Maybe one day. Thanks for the encouragement. I know what you mean...but I would say that you are a worshiper! I think it is an inherent trait among us humans-it's what we were made to do. The question would be, "what is it that you worship?" What do you think? Have you ever thought about it that way before? Have a different perspective?

@@HeyWorshipLeader That’s a very philosophical approach pal! I guess you’re right tho, I worship my missus and kids, just not a higher power like y’all. Anyways, great channel keep up the good work and keep being a spreader of smiles 😊

I’m new to stereo/dual amp settings on the HX stomp, and I’m not getting the same effect when using the delay to widen the sound of the 2 Amps. Is this because I’m only running one jack out of the mono output of my Hx, do I need to run stereo out?
@HeyWorshipLeader2 ай бұрын
yes...that's it...you'd need to run stereo...you could hear it from the headphone out as well

Sounds great! A couple questions: Could you save DSP by using an amp/cab block instead of separate blocks? I've heard another trick to widen the stereo field without using delay is to increase the early reflection on one cab. Would that still sound as good? Thanks again!
@joshuacabiles45783 жыл бұрын
I think it's the same DSP.
@HeyWorshipLeader3 жыл бұрын
This is actually something I've talked about in several videos. All my other presets use an amp and a dual cab. And I'm all about using that Early Reflections trick. That's def a way to save DSP. What I did not try yet would be having a dual amp (using the delay trick) and then summing them back into a dual cab. I would think that would be the same DSP.
@KeithShelley13 жыл бұрын
@@HeyWorshipLeader fascinating idea. The possibilities really are endless.
@potul3 жыл бұрын
You save blocks but you don't save DSP. Cabs are eating more or less the same DSP if they are alone, with an amp or even an IR

Wanna go down the wormhole (ha ha)? If you use command center, you can have the preset at Snapshot 1 when you go into the preset at first. Then set, for example, FS1 for snapshot 2, and FS2 for snapshot 3 (latching). And then you could set FS3 as a stomp bypass for an effect, or to change parameters on whatever you like. When you select FS1, you're in snapshot 2, then hit the switch again, and you're back to snapshot 1, then hit FS2, and you're in snapshot 3. Then, select it again, and you're back to snapshot 1. As long as you don't select FS1, then FS2, you can always go back to snapshot 1.....confusing huh. But still cool. I saw Sterlaci explain that. Too much thinking on my part, I just use it in stomp mode, but do the same premise as snapshots by having certain footswitches change parameters on amps and effects. Such a cool device. I've had it a year, and I'm still learning. Love the videos!

Oh yes! I saw that video...pretty cool process...a little confusing but still good. I also learned in his video how to number my presets. So good

@@HeyWorshipLeader I did the command center to use a FS to go to another preset yesterday at church. Had to do a bass run at an intro to a song, and used the poly pitch for a bass sound on my guitar with an Ampeg amp block, then hit my FS to jump into my lead guitar sound to do the rest. Looking forward to trying out your acoustic preset so I can use my strat as an acoustic as well. Love it. Coming from a guy that used to be a die hard tube amp and single effects pedal, I never thought I'd be so into something like this. Best money I've spent on music great other than new strings, haha. Happy holidays!

If I run this into a mono output. I believe my church only had mono. Would it sound ok? Or is this setting best when it’s stereo and hard panned? It sounds great as is but I don’t think I can do stereo with our setup
@HeyWorshipLeader3 жыл бұрын
Since the Stomp sums to mono it will sound great! The only problems that can arise when summing to mono is with super wide modulated effects where the right and left sides are not close on their levels...but I tried to get these really close as far as the volume from left to right.
