Dear Indrek Luuk, I am very grateful for the sketch and library you created for Arduino. I worked with it for three evenings and, using the Frankenstein method, increased the number of HX711 sensors to seven, and also added PLX DAQ, which now allows me to create weight control tables and graphs. My plans are also to remake the tare system via EEPROM to save the data of the last weight measurement, and not the tare. since in my botanical experiments I use strain gauges to determine the weight of hives during the flight of bees, and when the Arduino is rebooted, the data is reset to 0. And a hive with bees, nectar and honey weighs from 50 to 150 kg and it’s hard to pull it every time. Thank you for the program and interesting blog.

Good video. I suggest, however, that you use a more solid base, such as aluminum or even steel, instead of plastic. The flexing and bending of the plastic will cause inaccuracies in weighing. For demo purposes, your setup is fine but if you don't mention that a solid base is required, anyone who might still be learning will not get that important piece of knowledge.

The ADC and the amplifier are both noisy. You can oversample by taking several hundred, maybe 1,000 measurements, average them, then only display the average of the 1,000 measurements. That should stabilize it quite a bit.

The adafruit four wire load cell came with the world's thinnest wires. These things must be 32 AWG stranded, really cheap. So cheap that somehow one of the leads was totally cut off on one of the wires, and attempting to strip some insulation off would instantly cut through the strands of conductor. I tried a razor, then I tried just burning the insulation off but the exposure to the fire blackened the conductor and now the measurements are off. Would you recommend perhaps removing the glue that adheres the wires to the load cell and attaching my own wires to this thing?

I guess to know if the calibration is accurate, you should try different know weights to see how accurate it is. The platform probably can affect the accuracy if the weight is not applied to the correct position and angle.
