@@REDACTED4503 No, alot of China's equipment is compatible with the US railways. Search up the ND5, aka GE C36-7, they are also US-spec, they just need bells and ditchlights.

@Emerald Zebra At Least You Guys Have GE PowerHaul Locomotives (British Rail Class 70), Which I Think Are Cool, But You're Right GEVOS Are AWESOME. GEVO Horns, Especially On The Second Phase ES44AC's And ET44AC'S, Sound Cool, The First Phase AC'S And DC's Have A Slightly Different Horn Sound. They Make A Really Nice Chugging Sound Like A Dash 9 Or AC4400CW, Though The Tier 4s Don't, Sadly. Additionally India Has GEVOS, The ES43ACmi And ES57ACi, Known As The WDG-4G And WDG-6G, Respectively. Lastly Egypt Kazakhstan Have GEVOS ES40DCi And ES44ACi (Also Known As The TE33A) Respectively.

How is it that a Chinese gevo has a 6000 HP Generator that works but the Gevos in the USA don’t?

Cause the ES59ACi/HXN5 Locomotives are powered by a GEVO-16 Prime Mover that can put out maximum power output of 6250 Horsepower, while the ones here in the US are power by a GEVO-12 Prime Mover that has a maximum power output of 4500 Horsepower.

4400hp is sufficient for most NA railroads especially on heavier coal trains that tend to use distributed power setup.
